In apologizing for his sexist "joke" about how the United Arab Emirates" first fighter pilot is an example of "boobs on the ground," Eric Bolling explained that his apology came as a result of his "getting the look" from his wife and not any self-awareness of the sexist offensiveness and inappropriateness of the comment. As your humble correspondent noted, he didn't even mention the woman whom he insulted. Well, I guess that his apology did not stem the appropriate outrage among those who don't see the humor in Bolling's sexism. So I can't say for sure if  Bolling experienced an epiphany or if Fox management was doing damage control - but today, Bolling offered yet another apology in what seems to be a, uh, *pattern?

Last night, Jon Stewart addressed Fox’s faux outrage over President Obama’s “coffee cup salute.” It’s must-see TV and oh so funny at Fox News’ expense.

Megyn Kelly hosted Rep. Darrell Issa last night to discuss the resignation of Attorney General Eric Holder. And have no fear, Fox fans: Issa promised there would be no letup in his investigations of Holder even after he leaves office. Yet as the two strolled down the GOP memory lane of Holder attacks, for some reason, Kelly never mentioned her weeks-long obsession with Holder and the New Black Panther Party.

Sean Hannity once again demonstrated that in matters of race, he seems to think that the real oppressed ethnic group in America is white people. However, he did allow as how, “I’ll be the first to admit the evils of slavery.” As if he isn’t more like the ten millionth to do so. 

Yesterday, I wrote about the ridiculous “coffee cup salute” nontroversy that Fox News dug up as their latest excuse to bash President Obama. Last night, Stephen Colbert gave Fox their just comedic deserts. With a special skewering of Elisabeth Hasselbeck.

Neil Cavuto conducted a 12-minute interview with Ann Romney this week. Most of the time was taken up with Cavuto “just asking” about a possible 2016 candidacy for Mitt Romney.

Despite the presence of female hosts and co-hosts, Fox News is an organ (!?) of the white, Christian, American patriarchy which would love to return to the days when women were happy housewives and, as God instructs us, very submissive. Feminism is constantly derided on Fox for its no good, very bad messages about women's empowerment. The Five's Greg Gutfeld believes that feminists are a bunch of angry (how dare women challenge inequality) sluts. His fellow Fiver Eric Bolling believes that the increase of women in the workplace is destroying the American family and causing more abortions. So are we surprised that both Gutfeld and Bolling would make offensive, sexist, and sophomoric jokes in order to diminish a woman whose level of accomplishment, in a patriarchal society, make Gutfield and Bolling look like the schmucks that they are!

I’m sure they’re breaking out the champagne over at Fox News over the news that Attorney General Eric Holder plans to announce his resignation today. Meanwhile, there’s quite a bit of pre-announcement partying going on over the second most-targeted guy on the “fair and balanced” network.

I don't know what's worse: Dick and Liz Cheney's blaming President Obama for the mess in the Middle East the Bush administration precipitated or Fox News repeatedly giving them undeserved credibility and a warm welcome to do so. 

Fox’s The Five spent nearly six minutes – an entire segment – on the faux scandal over President Obama’s coffee cup salute. Because, you know, all those other Fox News discussions on the subject weren’t enough.
