Fox’s The Five spent nearly six minutes – an entire segment – on the faux scandal over President Obama’s coffee cup salute. Because, you know, all those other Fox News discussions on the subject weren’t enough.
As I previously posted, Fox just couldn't get over the fact that President Obama saluted the troops while holding a coffee cup. So why should The Five not seize upon this latest excuse to smear Obama? What they lacked in timeliness, airing at the end of the day as they do, they made up for in maliciousness.
Co-host Greg Gutfeld said in his introduction to the discussion:
This story is a great bias alarm. If you hate Obama, his caffeinated carelessness bolsters your belief that he’s an elitist clown who deserves nothing more than a low-end faculty job at a community college in Kenya. If you love Obama, you ignore it and mock those he upset, the kind of slack the CNN chucklebuckets would never cut for President Bush. So I say, why can’t it be both?
Co-host Eric Bolling announced his decision: “You gave us two options. I’m going to go with elitist clown who deserves nothing more than a low-end faculty job at a community college in Kenya.”
Putin-loving Kimberly Guilfoyle laughed ostentatiously. Later, as Gutfeld said, “Enough with the cup,” she exclaimed enthusiastically, “We could do this all day!”
I’m sure she could.
