Neil Cavuto Prefers Pedophilia Over Sex Ed?

Posted by Priscilla · March 05, 2013 6:48 PM · 6 reactions

The American right thinks that sex education is a nefarious librul plot to turn American kids into raging sex machines with some of that sex being - OMG - gay! They still cling to the belief that "abstinence education" is the only approach and, as we see from high teen pregnancy and STD rates in abstinence only states, that just isn't true. As the mouthpiece for the radical right, Fox "News," has provided a media platform for the promotion of anti-sex education zealotry. The Fox "friends" supported a Michigan anti-teacher's union group opposed to a local sex education plan because it promoted "transgender tolerance." They also took the side of those who opposed a Montana sex education curriculum as did O'Reilly, who told homophobic lies about it. Hannity validated opposition to the MT and  NY City curriculums. And now that Chicago will be implementing an age appropriate sex-ed curriculum, Neil Cavuto is providing Fox News affirmation for those who don't want kids to learn about their bodies - and sexual abuse. One suspects that he's also opposed to public spending on the consequences of ignorance. Anyway...

O’Reilly Fights ‘Barbarism’ By Stalking, Harassing, Smearing And Bullying Gay Congressman

Posted by Ellen · March 05, 2013 5:43 PM · 3 reactions

If you’ve been watching The O’Reilly Factor lately, you know that he has been “questioning” whether we have become a “barbaric” country. In a Talking Points commentary last week, he vowed, “I do not want my country to be a place of barbarism and I will fight against that!” Apparently, O’Reilly’s “solution” is to behave like a bullying dictator, demand that the State of Colorado pass “Jessica’s Law," which imposes mandatory sentences on child molesters, then stalk and harass a gay state representative who opposes the law and, while he's at it, suggest that his opposition is due to his homosexuality. Yeah, that’s showing your compassion and kindness for the kids, alright.

Why Didn’t Hannity And O’Reilly Note Problems In Menendez ‘Prostitute’ Story?

Posted by Ellen · March 05, 2013 3:20 PM · 3 reactions

By Media Matters' count, Fox News hyped at least 22 times a Daily Caller report that Senator Robert Menendez paid underage prostitutes for sex in the Dominican Republic. But yesterday, the Washington Post reported that a woman who appeared in a video accusing Menendez of paying her for sex was in reality paid to make that accusation and never actually met him. So why didn’t either Sean Hannity or Bill O’Reilly mention that update last night given that they spent plenty of time airing the allegations?

Bill O'Reilly Gives Advice On Being Rational? Really?

Posted by Priscilla · March 05, 2013 11:10 AM · 12 reactions

If Bill O'Reilly actually thinks that his sage advice, proffered during his *daily "Tip of the Day" segment, has any credibility, he's even more narcissistic and delusional than he appears to be. If anything, it provides an amusing example of the discrepancy between what he preaches and what he practices such as his recent admonition about private hissy fits when, in reality, O'Reilly's modus operandi is to "vent" his anger on his guests. He gave us more comedic stylings and irony with another "Tip" which was about how if you stand up for what you believe in, in a rational way, it will pay off in the long run. Rational? Bill O'Reilly? Hahahahahahahahah!!!!

O’Reilly Boasts About Threatening To Throw Someone In The Charles River

Posted by Ellen · March 04, 2013 11:36 PM · 10 reactions

Apparently, tonight was Bill O’Reilly’s night to jump the shark. In a discussion with Bernie Goldberg about Bob Woodward (not) being “threatened” by the Obama administration, O’Reilly told a chilling tale about someone who once got angry at his reporting. A grinning O'Reilly boasted that he grabbed the guy’s tie, led him out the door and said, “Next time you talk to me like that, you’re going in the Charles river. You’re lucky you just got away with the square tonight."

Fox’s John Roberts Hearts The Sequester

Posted by Ellen · March 04, 2013 4:21 PM · 4 reactions

Fox’s “objective” John Roberts visited Fox & Friends Weekend yesterday morning for a peek at his upcoming Fox News special about the sequester last night. However, unless you were deeply interested in the Republican point of view, only, there seemed no point in watching beyond this five-minute segment. When Roberts wasn’t directly quoting Republicans, he was quoting and promoting their point of view.

Jesse Watters Still Perving & Lying For Bill O'Reilly

Posted by Priscilla · March 04, 2013 12:09 PM · 9 reactions

Figures that Jesse Watters works for Bill O'Reilly. Both love the ladies and are fond of videos which maximize areas of the ladies body that aren't clothed. Both also lie - especially when it comes to people and places that Bill doesn't approve of. Such was the case with Watters recent video about Hawaii, a place loathed by Bill because of its diversity and liberal views. Watters, whose video featured scantily clad women and women whom Watters suspected of being prostitutes, told a lie, subsequently reinforced by O'Reilly, that Hawaii had the highest percentage of food stamp users in the US. Now that Gov. Jerry Brown has, allegedly, refused to go on The Factor, Watters was dispatched to California to reinforce Bill's meme that Brown is doing a bad job. As he did with his Hawaii opus, Watters found a "normal" person who validated the Bill/Jesse premise, "eccentric" types who support Brown, and a lovely, bikini clad woman who got lots of body time. And just as he did with Hawaii, Watters presented bogus facts about CA. Bill O'Reilly must be so proud of his boy!

Mitt Romney Regrets His ‘47%’ Remarks And Then Essentially Reiterates Them

Posted by Ellen · March 03, 2013 11:12 PM · 13 reactions

Mitt and Ann Romney were the only guests on Fox News Sunday today. During a mostly lapdog interview, Wallace asked a few tough questions, including about those infamous “47%” remarks – which Romney said he regretted. And yet he did not apologize to anyone he may have offended. Even more telling, when asked about his remarks, shortly after the campaign, that President Obama won because he gave away “free stuff” to his “base coalition,” Romney replied, “ObamaCare was very attractive, particularly to those without health insurance.” Oh, and Romney also suggested he didn’t mean it when he said he’d turn down $10 in spending cuts if they included $1 in tax hikes

Howard Kurtz: Hannity Surrendered The High Ground When He Likened Ellison To KKK

Posted by Ellen · March 03, 2013 6:07 PM · 6 reactions

Howard Kurtz gave what I thought was a pretty fair rundown of the now-famous confrontation between Sean Hannity and Congressman Keith Ellison. But he let Hannity off way too easy by saying he “surrendered the high ground” by likening Ellison to a black Ku Klux Klan member. Hannity didn’t just hit low, he deliberately ignored the facts, grabbed the ugliest mud he could find and got some like-minded friends to help sling it. More importantly, race baiting is an all-too-familiar Hannity tactic.

Bill O'Reilly Compares His Bible Believing Christian Critics To Jihadists?

Posted by Priscilla · March 03, 2013 2:56 PM · 8 reactions

Bill O'Reilly's "Tip of the Day," is more than just a nightly nugget of Bill's sagacity that Bill, in his benevolence, shares for the education and edification of his "folks." It is also a platform from which Bill can scold his critics by presenting their criticism as, in the words of an SNL comedic character done by Bill's hated nemesis, Senator Al Franken, "stinking thinking." Last week, Bill interviewed the producers of the History Channel's "The Bible." Given that Bill once claimed that he was a creationist and said that "Judeo-Christian myth is not a myth," his comments to his guests were shocking. After they expressed belief in a literal interpretation of Genesis, he opined that the Bible is allegorical. (Talk about evolution!) Not surprisingly, he got blowback from bible literalists whom he took to task in a subsequent "Tip" segment during which he - ready for it - preached about not being judgmental. Looks like O'Reilly can give it - but he can't take it!
