Megyn Kelly Whitewashes Her History Of Helping To Demonize Trayvon Martin
As I posted last week, Megyn Kelly worked as an on-air helpmate to George Zimmerman’s attorney in his smear campaign against Trayvon Martin. Kelly, also an attorney, almost surely knew that texts and photos of Martin’s pot use, his gangsta language and school records would not be admissible at trial. But she nonetheless played dumb as she uncritically aired and “explored” the very material the defense undoubtedly hoped she would. The same material she almost certainly knew was irrelevant to the question of whether Zimmerman shot and killed the unarmed Martin in self defense and would almost certainly not be seared into her viewers’ minds without her help. That was bad enough, but when the judge predictably barred the evidence (for now) this week, Kelly pretended it was a setback for the defense and, even worse, pretended she had challenged it in the first place. Paging Dr. Ablow, paging Dr. Ablow. In what seems to be a leap from garden variety cognitive dissonance, Bill O'Reilly now seems to have a serious dissociative personality disorder. O'Reilly, whose ratings seem to be directly proportional to the intensity of his personal attacks, couched in what could be considered "hate speech," is now urging "the folks" to "reject and shun those who spew hate." WTF??????????
Read moreTamara Holder Confronts Hannity On Hypocrisy Of Attacks On Adam Levine For Saying He Hates America
In case you missed it, Adam Levine, from Maroon 5 and The Voice, muttered “I hate this country” into a hot mike last night. It was in response to voting on The Voice that eliminated two of his team members. Levine has since defended his remark as a joke, issued a statement explaining his frustration with the voting and saying, “I obviously love my country very much.” But the very news network that has shown no interest in the fact that one of their hosts urged people to “do me a favor” and go punch an Obama supporter in the face thought Levine’s comments were worth at least two discussions last night. One on On The Record and a debate on Hannity.
Read moreFox Nation: Why Are Liberals So Rude?
Yes, you read that correctly; Fox Nation actually has the brass to complain about liberals being rude to conservatives. The same Fox Nation that posts incessant death threats and wishes. The same Fox Nation that discusses murdering the opposing view as an option. The same Fox Nation that celebrates the deaths of others. The same Fox Nation that runs slanderous, race-baiting, and name calling headlines designed to stoke hate. THAT Fox Nation is now complaining about people being “rude” to their side. And predictably, this article is little more than a pretext for the Fox Nation haters to hate some more. Think stalker producer and Fox Nation editor Jesse Watters cared about any rudeness toward the left in the comments to this post? Click through to find out.
Read moreGot Irony? Greg Gutfeld Attacks Lena Dunham As 'Banal'
Like so many of his conservative, Christian soul brothas, Greg Gutfeld really despises strong, independent, and pro-choice women who are comfortable with their bodies and their sexuality. He has slut shamed women who have had pre-marital sex. He describes women who have abortions as "morally inept." Because of her support for employer paid birth control (Something Fox has already been paying for) he claims that Sandra Fluke is "a poster child for whiny entitlement." Gutfeld, the author of "The Joy of Hate," isn't fond of actress Lena Dunham. Back in 2012, Gutfeld whined about how her pro-Obama video, which used sexual double entendres, made Clinton Eastwood's chair "look Shakespearean." His rant mentioned "free pills" - a reference to the HHS birth control mandate which, as we all know, will make slutty slut women even sluttier. And now that, Gutfeld, along with his unhinged right wing posse, is upset about Dunham's Memorial Day "Pee Tweet," he whined that she is "banal." OH THE IRONY!!!! And for good misogynistic measure, Gutfeld worked in the requisite free pill thing.
Read moreGreta Van Susteren Pushes Eric Cantor Into Making IRS Scandal More About Obama
“Liberal” Greta Van Susteren interviewed Republican House Majority Leader Eric Cantor last night and simply would not let him go without tarring President Obama in the so-called IRS scandal. Van Susteren didn’t have any evidence to connect President Obama but she repeatedly “asked” if we should believe him when he said he didn’t know about the issue until he read about it in media reports. When Cantor made it clear he didn’t have any evidence to show otherwise, she pushed him and pushed him until he finally agreed there are “unanswered questions.” But the only unanswered questions were the ones she made up. She didn’t point out that reports have indicated Obama did not know nor did she bring forth any information to suggest otherwise. Meanwhile, it just so happens that this morning, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell launched a new ad tying Obama to the scandal and likening him to Richard Nixon.

Read moreO’Reilly Attacks Williams For Arguing That Holder Is The Right Person To Conduct The James Rosen Investigation
Bill O’Reilly followed up last night on Juan Williams’ contentious discussion with Brit Hume on Fox News Sunday the previous day by holding separate discussions with both Williams and Hume. As before, the subject was Fox News’ witch hunt against Eric Holder and whether or not he is an appropriate person to investigate the Department of Justice subpoenas of Fox reporter James Rosen’s phone records. But while Hume had gotten testy with Williams, O’Reilly began shouting and even brought up physical violence by saying he thought Hume “wanted to punch” Williams.
Read moreMegyn Kelly Validates Right Wing 'Concerns' About 'Common Core Curriculum'
As the mouthpiece for the right wing, "fair & balanced" Fox News never wastes an opportunity to bash the public school system and teacher's unions as well as promote school vouchers. Usually, the point person for smearing public education is Kyle Olson who is head of a right wing group committed to privatizing public education. But today, alleged "news" host Megyn Kelly brought in a fresh, new face. She spoke to former mainstream media reporter, Bob Bowdon who is now head of Choice Media, "an education reform news service" and the director of a movie that slammed New Jersey public education. In a totally "fair & balanced" piece (not) she allowed Bowdon to present a one-sided analysis of the "Common Core" curriculum which just happens to be the newest, hottest anti-government conspiracy theory for the right wing, especially Glenn Beck and Michelle Malkin. And while Bowdon didn't go quite that far, the agenda was still out there and Kelly did her due diligence in validating it.

In case you weren’t dumbfounded enough when the Hannity show trotted out Donald Rumsfeld to lecture President Obama about truthfulness in national security, you might want to hold on to your jaw before watching any clips from last night’s hour-long infomercial for Rumsfeld's book that transformed the guy who resigned in disgrace over his handling of the war in Iraq in 2006 into a hero in the war on terror on Fox News in 2013. In fact, Sean Hannity was so busy lionizing Rumsfeld that he didn’t even discuss Iraq. When it did come up, via a guest, Rumsfeld was hailed for his behavior in the Abu Ghraib prisoner-abuse scandal and held up as a role model for President Obama in Benghazi. Seriously.
