Fox News Using Alleged "Hate Crime" To Attack Black Lives Matters?

As the news network for white identity, Fox News has no qualms about reinforcing their audience's fear and loathing of blacks who, don't ya know, are the real perpetrators of hate crimes. And now that the racist right is claiming that Black Lives Matter "thugs" are responsible for a hate crime, Fox News is on like white on, well, Fox News.

Fox's pandering to the white supremacist meme that the real crime problem is black-on-white is nothing new. In 2013, Greg Gutfeld and his pals on The Five ascribed black racism to an incident in which drugs, not race, were a factor. One month later, Gutfeld blamed "corrosive black culture" for the death of a white man at the hands of a multi-racial group of teens - a death which The Five defined as a "hate crime." White privilege poster boy, Tucker Carlson actually asserted that black on white crime is considered, by the black community, to be "fashionable." Not surprisingly, Fox's resident racist and homophobic Todd Starnes has peddled the black thugs are out to kill us all meme. Part of Fox's coverage of these "hate crimes" is that the mainstream media is ignores it.

So it comes as no surprise that Fox, sourcing from Tucker Carlson's Daily Caller, would report the claims of a former Marine, Christopher Marquez, who alleges that he was assaulted by black youths who asked him if he believes that black lives matter. This question has now been twisted, by various right wing websites, into the declaration, as fact, that he was "mugged by Black Lives Matter group." However, according to the Washington Post, "police could not verify the motive as described by Marquez and said they are continuing to look into the case."

While the police have not mentioned anything about a "hate crime," Marquez told the Daily Caller that he believes that "this was a hate crime and I was targeted because of my skin color." And coincidentally (?) Marquez added something that could have been scripted by Fox: "Too many of these types of attacks have been happening against white people by members of the black community and the majority of the main stream media refuses to report on it." (One assumes that if Marquez is Hispanic, he's really one of those brown folks so reviled by the white, right wing but whatever...)

In addition to its placement as a second tier lede, Fox & Friends featured the story as part of their headline news which began with the breathless commentary: "A decorated marine, bullied, attacked, and robbed." The newsreader, Abby Huntsman, reported that this decorated veteran claims that he was "attacked by five people who asked him about the Black Lives Matter movement." She continued with his account which was heavy on the Black Lives Matter connection. After a clip of Marquez telling part of his story, she noted that an iconic photo of his heroism in Iraq was responsible for a famous "no man left behind" statue.

Obviously, this assault cannot be condoned. But what diminishes it is that Marquez appears to be using it to promote a racist narrative identical to that advanced on Fox News - and in so doing get himself some free publicity on Fox News which, when it comes to Black Lives Matter, is hardly "fair & balanced."

This is ridiculous. A complete and utter hate crime that is being passed over by liberals. This man did more for this country than the author of this article will ever do, ever. He is immortalized in bronze. As a white/latino, as the victim is, I see where your agenda lies. Shame on you for your bias.

Until it’s proven in a court of law, alleged is the proper wording for a print outlet or a website. It does sound like a hate crime but the involvement of BLM is nowhere evident.

it comes as no surprise that this article doesn’t mention the “alleged” attack that happened in a McDonald’s was caught on video!

No. I will look at who reports it. In this case it comes from the network that tells whoppers, tall tales and any lie that is useful to them, no we don’t give them the benefit of doubt. Nor am I gonna spend much time unspooling whatever birds nest of contorted facts they’ve strung together. Life’s too short. And I won’t miss any sleep if these liars have somehow stumbled on the truth.
To hell with Faux and to hell with some dude.

By the way, for the rest of you liberals on here, people are so sick and tired of the excuse that anything that doesn’t fit your agenda is the fault of a news reporting agency. Here’s a concept, try looking at facts and defend the issue, not blow it off to who reports on it. You people, including the author of this piece of trash article are a pathetic embarrassment to common sense and intelligence. SMH

So – David – You DON’T see this as a racist event? How much of that liberal Kool Aid have you been drinking. This event pretty much defines racism, yet all you can do is talk about a news outlet. The news outlet is irrelevant, by the way, but, I’m sure the left wing wackos will blame everything on the Fox news, regardless of the details of the event. What a dick!

A beat up vet is in the hospital spouting the exact line as Faux. Then three trolls climb out of the woodwork and attack Priscilla.

Nahhh!! I’m not skeptical.

Hey, if my Bullshit-O-Meter gets worn out and broken, should I send the bill to Faux News or Faux nation?

I’m wondering why foKKKs Spews didnt refer to this incident as an ‘Attack on The Military’, since they referred to The Charleston Church Massacre as “An Attack On Faith”.

I see the RW trolls are all over this story….

Sounds like you are a black racist bigot, believing only black people can be victims of racists crimes. You only help widen the divide. In America today the white man has no rights in the medias eyes because of racist journalists like yourself, using the internet to spread you bigoted hate.

Wow, Priscilla – what an ignorant and offensive article this is. You’re disappointment in the fact that it isn’t able to be read as “4 white men attack unarmed black man at McDonalds for backing the BLM movement”. Had it been that this would have made front page news on MSNBC and you would have been infuriated by it, right? Yep. I’m sure the hospitalized Marine agrees with your rant. What POS you are!!!
