On Fox & Friends: Larry Gatlin Says Pres. Obama America Hating 'Doofus'

Posted by Priscilla -25.80pc on July 04, 2014 · Flag

When it comes to patriotism, nobody wears the red, white, and blue better than those on Fox & Friends. In the words of Lee Greenwood's paean to patriotism, the kids on the curvy couch are proud to be Americans - unlike some nasty liberals who, according to a new Pew Poll, do not meet the Fox standards of blind jingoism. So who better to discuss this egregious lapse in nationalistic devotion than Larry Gatlin, the washed up former country music star who debuted his anti-Obama protest song, "The Beatings Will Continue," on Mike Huckabee's show. He's no stranger to Fox & Friends where, in 2011, he spoke about his Christmas song which was about how Muslims were trying to hurt the baby Jesus. This week, he was back on Fox & Friends where he treated the audience to a bizarre rant about how - wait for it - Pres. Obama is to blame for the decrease in patriotism.

Last Sunday, Ainsley Earhardt began by asking "what is happening to patriotism in our great country." She reported that a new Pew Poll shows that 60% of liberals "aren't proud to be an American." (OMG!) She introduced the great savant and "country music star," Gatlin, "to explain why they should be proud." She then asked his why this is happening and he was off and running.

He surmised that this is because of a coalition between "limousine liberal lear jet liberals and low information voters." (Do I hear a racist dog whistle?) He followed this with a joke (?) "Hillary, you can get out of the limo, now...the little people can't bother you at 35,000 feet." He blithered about how the coalition "elected this doofus, why wasn't anyone listening, he told us that he hated America, he told us that he wasn't proud of America and the way he was going to do it was fundamentally change America." He didn't provide any specific quote to support his allegation; but he did mention Michelle Obama's quote about being proud of her country for the first time. His claim, that it was said on the night of the election, was wrong as she said this in February of 2008.

Gatlin took a detour into bizarro world with a quote from his "half-breed" grandmother who said that "if a child is naughty, slap the grandmother. Because, see, that means the grandmother didn’t teach mother, and the mother didn’t teach the child." While he was describing her ancestry he did the "tomahawk chop."He jumped from his grandmother to the Clintons: “Here’s what we have, we have old hippies from the ’60s, Bill and Hillary ruling our country, not governing our country, and they haven't taught, we're also being ruled by children of the children of the sixties who not only don't think there's the difference from right or wrong, they don't even think there is a right or wrong." (I know the syntax is weird but I'm quoting verbatim.)

He asserted that "when Americans stand up, patriots stand up." He brayed about storming beaches and jumping out of airplanes which gets liberals upset because "they don't believe there's a right and wrong." He lamented that these evil doers "blame Bush." After he declared  that these people should "love it [America] our get out of my face," lil Ainsley asked "why are you here if you don't like this country." In discussing how evil liberals don't believe that America is the greatest country, Gatlin sung a few lines from one of songs about American awesomeness. He then accused those treasonous liberals of being "intellectually bankrupt" and asserted that, if Fox allows it, he will take them on in a debate. As Earhardt grinned, he said that liberals, who sing Kumbaya, won't sing the Marine Corps hymn which Obama "thinks is the Marine *"corpse" hymn for god's sake. Give me a break, who elected this doofus? The liberals and the low information voters."

If anybody is promoting low information it's Fox & Friends. And if anybody is a doofus, it's Larry Gatlin.

*Obama pronounced the "p" when speaking about the Navy hospital corpsman - not the Marine Corps.

So I guess Laura Ingraham would just suggest that Gatlin “shut up and sing”, right? Oh, not if you’re a right-winger, eh? Never mind…

Forgive Larry, for he comes from the 90% part of Texas.

Sounds like someone was hitting the Keystone Lite pretty hard early in the morning.

There is a reason he was on yesterday. It is the day all former somebodys get to be on the air because the somebodys have the day off to celebrate with their family. Not worth the time it takes to get steamed up by all this.

Larry Gatlin, Ted Nugent, Hank Williams Jr., Chuck Norris, Victoria Jackson, Janine Turner, Danny Bonaduce, Kirk Cameron, the Duck Dynasty in-breeds, etc. ad nauseam. Add your own favorite to to the list. Not an ounce of real talent nor a scintilla of brain matter in the entire lot of them.

Another redneck drunken druggie spouting opinions on Fox just because he’s a racist.

If it’s the America represented by the “hasbeen” or “neverwas” Larry Gatlin and the other loons on the right, I proudly admit I’m an America hating doofus entirely willing to support any organization that supports the total destruction of same, by any means necessary!

Because PFC (Privileged Fascist Chickenhawk) Lee Greenwood got a draft deferment that kept his sorry fat a*s out of Vietnam just like Dumbya Bush and “Five Deferment Dick” Cheney, here’s how the chorus lines of Lee Greenwood’s signature tune should read:

And I’m proud to be a chickenhawk,
‘Cuz freedom sure ain’t free,
Why should I go to war — I might get blown to bits,
I’ll let others fight for me,
Everyone should stand up,
And purchase stock in a defense firm today,
You’ll get filthy rich in no time flat,
In the good ole U – S – A!

Kenny Rogers’ Tommy (aka “The Coward of the County”) had the right idea because when “[he] left the bar room, not a Gatlin boy was standing.”
