Fox News loves to hate on #BlackLivesMatter because some outliers were caught chanting "Pigs in a blanket, fry 'em like bacon." Yet for the umpteenth time, we have caught a Fox News fan openly discussing assassinating President Obama on FoxNews.com's Fox Nation.
Fox News has used a video clip of some #BlackLivesMatter protesters chanting "Pigs in a blanket, fry 'em like bacon" to suggest that the entire group is waging a war on police. Ignoring a #BlackLivesMatter Facebook post that specifically rejects the notion of targeting police, Fox & Friends concern trolled Stephen Colbert for wearing a #BlackLivesMatter wristband given to him by an audience member. Cohost Anna Kooiman said, "Stephen Colbert, at least I hope, isn't supporting the same group that says, "Fry like bacon, pigs in a blanket. On The Real Story with Gretchen Carlson, former Secret Service agent (turned Republican politician) Dan Bongino partly blamed President Obama for the shooting of a police officer because he (Obama) did not condemn #BlackLivesMatter over that chant. Bill O'Reilly recently vowed to put #BlackLivesMatter “out of business" and lectured Colin Powell to apologize for speaking supportively about the group.
It's especially ironic for O'Reilly to be lecturing anyone about condemning violent rhetoric given that it's his producer, Jesse Watters, who is the editor of Fox Nation.
And look what we found on Fox Nation today:
The above comments were found by one of our readers. I checked out the site just now and saw they are still there, eight hours later.
I also spotted this charming comment:
This is just one of many, many times we have found this kind of talk on Fox Nation.
You know how Fox lectures African Americans that they need to clean up black-on-black crime before they complain about getting shot and killed by the police? Well, maybe Fox News should follow its own advice and clean up its own murder talk before they point fingers at other groups.
But if Fox keeps insisting that a group of outliers caught chanting violent rhetoric represents an entire group, what do these repeated comments on Fox Nation say about Fox News?
