According to The Daily Beast, Sean Hannity is looking to leave Fox News now that Bill Shine has left. Hannity's departure reportedly could come on Friday or even after tonight's show. UPDATED
From The Daily Beast:
“The network now belongs to the Murdoch sons,” another Fox insider said after learning that Shine was gone.
One insider speculates that the negotiations could end this week and Hannity might be out by Friday. Another said his final show could even be tonight or Tuesday evening, given Shine’s Monday resignation.
Fox News, however, said in a statement speaking on behalf of Hannity and the network: “This is completely untrue.”
We'll be watching for news and clues tonight.
UPDATE: Hannity said nothing about his future on his Monday night show.
I think he was impressed with himself – as if he’d raised his ratings via trolling. I tend to doubt he did, as most people would respond the way I did – not give him the time of day. Let’s see if more tidbits come out during the week. If not, we’ll have solid evidence that Hannity doesn’t have any other options than to stay at Fox News. I can’t imagine any legitimate network wanting anything to do with him, so his only other choice would be to leave television (which would impact his radio show) or to go with something like Newsmax and take a big pay cut.
Now all he has to is resign and start signing them up!
I guess the Orange Shitgibbon will be spending most of his time on F&F from now on.
