Once again the perpetual outrage machine that is Brad Stine made his regular Monday appearance on Fox and Friends to rail against political correctness and to prove—once again—there is no topic on which he’s not an expert. It’s golden that everything that makes Stine mad also happens to be a Right Wing Talking Point and/or Fox “News” meme. This week Stine carried water for those who think the marines who allegedly urinated on dead Taliban soldiers are getting a raw deal.
Producers and hosts love guests like Stine because they’re self-starting. As with Stine’s appearance with Larry Gatlin in December, all Steve Doocy needed to do was frame the discussion with a President Obama-bashing argument and introduce Stine. From that point on the pissant was off and running, rattling off talking points in a stream of consciousness.
“Did they [the administration] over-react to this thing? I don’t know. Did Al Gore get rich off of Global Warming pseudo science? Yeah! I’m pretty much thinking they over-reacted. Let me tell you something, Steve. This comes out of the playbook of ‘Liberal Idiotocracy.’ Always more concerned about what happens to our enemies than what happens to us. You know what? I think they take things out of context. Number one: These are 20-year olds IN WAR!!! [Emphasis his] THEY’RE IN WAR!!! And yet, they’re 20 years old and they’re guys. If you got drunk and passed out in their frat house, in the tub, you know what they’d do to ya? THEY’D PEE ON YA!!! WHY?!?!?! Because that’s what guys do!!! It’s how we handle pressure. We did the best we could. Give them a little slack. I mean, the guys almost got shot and killed. Give them a little slack.”
And, if that were not excuse enough, Doocy adds more context that he just pulls out of his ass, as opposed to his bladder.
“Yeah. We don’t know the circumstances. For all we know those dead Taliban guys could have been trying to kill them for 12 hours and at the end of a firefight they did that.”
Later Stine adds: “They get concerned that they’re going to be offended if we’re peeing on these guys. You know what? I would think they’d be offended that we made dead guys out of them. I think that’s more offensive. You can pee on me all you want; don’t shoot me. So I really think what we’re dealing with here is a lack of context. And, it was a breach of conduct. Okay? It was a breach of conduct. But we’re going to take care of that. They’re gonna get in trouble, but let’s take it in context. Alright? We peed on a dead guy; they hang us from bridges. We put underwear on your head; they cut off out heads. Alright? And then we make them stand naked. They drag our naked soldiers through the street. Remember Obama administration: the Taliban, the terrorists. THEY’RE THE BAD GUYS! Not us. They’re they bad guys.”
However, just when you thought he couldn’t get more offensive, Stine gratuitously added, “The Obama administration, to this day, never have admitted that Major Hasan, who murdered 13 of our guys, was a terrorist attack. It was a terrorist attack and they’ve never admitted that. That is wrong. To me that is them peeing on the American public.” When Stine said that, you can hear Doocy let out a deep sigh. I interpreted that as, “Hoo boy! Stine might have gone too far with that zinger,” but the moment passed quickly. What do you think Doocy’s exhalation of breath signifies? Watch:
Nice wordplay btw, Auntie!
EARTH TO BRAD STINE:
- The Marines aren’t pledges
- Afghanistan isn’t a frat house
- Combat isn’t Rush Week
You, however, are an idiot who needs a shave . . .

Stine gratuitously added, âThe Obama administration, to this day, never have admitted that Major Hasan, who murdered 13 of our guys, was a terrorist attack. It was a terrorist attack and theyâve never admitted that."
There’s a reason for that, Bradley: the FBI had found no information to indicate Hasan had any co-conspirators or was part of a broader terrorist plot . . .

But, if you wish to persist in calling Hasan a terrorist, that means his capture and incarceration is ANOTHER successful removal of a terrorist threat by the Obama administration — right?
.
Actually, it’s the exact opposite. This incident has me very concerned with what is happening to us. We cannot continue to create exceptions for our principles. There is no scenario in which corpse pissing is acceptable. When you start looking for any excuse to abandon your principles, you only end up proving that you’re no better than those you fight.
I have sympathy for the difficult situations we’ve sent our soldiers into. They are not the same people they were when they went to war. War is very difficult- that’s why we have military discipline and rule books- to keep our guys from getting out of line.
I hope my kid doesn’t hear about this behavior, and if he does, I hope he doesn’t hear someone excuse it.
