Stuart Varney's desire to punish federal workers with the government shutdown was a most deserving winner of our Fox News Outrageous Quote Of The Week. Although he had some competition from 2nd place winner Anna Kooiman, Varney pulled it out with a decisive victory.

In case you've forgotten, Varney's outrageous quote was: 

I’m sick and tired of a massive bloated federal bureaucracy living on our backs and taking money out of us, a lot more money than most of us earn in the private sector, then giving a furlough, and then getting their money back at the end of it. Sorry, I’m not for that. I want to punish these people. Sorry to say that. That’s what I want to do.

Varney garnered 73, or 30% of the 243 total votes. His closest competitor, Kooinan (who fell for a parody report that President Obama personally funded a Muslim museum) earned 62 or 26 votes.

While only one can be our Most Outrageous Quote of the Week, I think I can fairly say that all our contestants are winners - and by that I mean losers!
