Sandra Fluke 'Strongly Considering' Running For Congress

Posted by Ellen -7859.80pc on January 31, 2014 · Flag

Quick, somebody get Bill O'Reilly some smelling salts. The woman he can't stop obsessing over, Sandra Fluke, has announed she is "strongly considering" running for Congress. Since the district is heavily Democratic, she'd be heavily favored to win, should she get the nomination. UPDATED

From the Huffington Post:

Fluke, who currently works as a social justice attorney in Los Angeles, said in a statement obtained by The Huffington Post that she is exploring a run for (retiring Rep. Henry Waxman's) seat, which lies in a safely Democratic district.

"I’m flattered that I’m being discussed as a potential candidate, especially for Rep. Waxman's seat, considering his incredible legacy," Fluke said. "A number of folks I respect very deeply have reached out today and encouraged me to run. I am strongly considering running. I’ll be making my decision soon."

O'Reilly has obsessively maligned Fluke as some kind of sex-crazed slut ever since she made a name for herself advocating for contraception coverage in health insurance. I'm not sure his heart can take it if she winds up in Congress.

UPDATE: Fluke has decided to run for a California state Senate seat instead.

Junior O’Reilly can use Ms. Fluke’s candidacy to hone his Misogyny for Hillary 2016.

I hope she does, and I agree with you Thx4 Fish, she can thank Rush, Bill and those on the right who just wanted to score points with Rush as show of support when he shot himself in the head with his ridiculous tantrum two years ago. If they originally ignored her none of us would know of her.

Of course the right had no problems when “Joe the Plumber” ran for Congress in ’12, which thankfully crashed and burned badly. I like Sandra’s chances and believe she’ll be an outstanding representative.

Fodder for his comedy show if she would run.

Fluke can thank O’Reilly and the right wing for bringing her to national attention and for keeping her in the spotlight. O’Reilly seems to have a thing for her, so I imagine he secretly will be thrilled if she runs for Congress.

@truman And if Sandra DOES win, mark my words: it will NOT be a “Fluke”!

;^)

[sorry mods — I simply COULD NOT resist!]

Minnesota voters ignored Bildo’s bloviating and elected Al Franken to the Senate. Hopefully, California voters will do the same and send Sandra Fluke to Congress.

Will Bill O'Reilly be able to take it?
