Russia Has Launched A Criminal Case Against Fox’s Bob Scales

When Fox’s military analyst, retired General Bob Scales, suggested the U.S. should start killing lots of Russians, Russia reacted by starting a criminal case against Scales.

Earlier this week, Scales appeared on Lou Dobbs tonight and said the following about the Ukraine:

SCALES: The only way the United States can have any effect in this region and to turn the tide is to start killing Russians. Killing so many Russians that even Putin’s media can’t hide the fact that Russians are returning to the motherland in body bags.

As Mediaite noted, “Multiple news outlets have reported this week that Russia’s Investigative Committee is pursuing a criminal case against Scales.”

The Moscow Times reports:

The case was launched under the article of Russia’s Criminal Code that prohibits “public calls to unleash an aggressive warfare, made with the use of media outlets.”

If arrested and convicted by a Russian court, Scales faces up to five years in prison. However, the likelihood of Russia successfully gaining custody of Scales is minuscule.

On Fox News Friday night, Scales said he’s “not concerned at all,” though he noted he won’t likely be vacationing in Russia any time soon.

However, he did continue his war mongering. “This is serious business,” he said about Ukraine. “If we don’t help the Ukrainians do something to take back those lost territories in the east, if we don’t give the Ukrainians the weapons they need…”

“Why aren’t we?” Van Susteren asked, in a tone that suggested such an escalation was a no brainer.

“I don’t know. It makes no sense,” Scales said. “…I think it’s like the 30s all over again.” Later, he added, “Only military action by the Ukrainians that we support will turn the tide.”

Not mentioned was that Scales is the president of a company, Colgen, that stands to benefit from more war. Fox News describes the company as “a consulting firm specializing in issues relating to land power, war gaming and strategic leadership.”

During the segment on On The Record, host Greta Van Susteren boasted, “The world is watching… All these countries who are not friendly to us, they’re watching us.”  To which I have one word: YouTube. Scales’ comments got posted on YouTube and have since received more than 118,000 views.

France, Jordan, Russia, the UK, and over half of the US. The number of people who are calling Fox News a criminal outfit in full seriousness are adding up.

Seems to me we are seeing what happens to modern economies when war rears its head with Russia. Its economy was a mess before they decided to invade Ukraine and it’s more of a mess now. The old saying, “Nothing helps the economy like a good war” may have been true to some extent in the 1940s but it is absolutely back-asswards today. The world is a small place these days, everything affects everything.

Still waiting for the war crimes trial of five-deferment Dick Cheney and Rummy.

The masses can use this against the Foxies.

The Underwear Model Kimberly, idiot analyst Ralph Peters, and Hugh’s loser son, Hannocchio are caught on tape praising Putin. Use their words against them on all talk radio shows.

Use this script to get you started. Emphasis the words in brackets. You can re-word it.

“Last year, Fox News host________(continually) praised Russian President Putin for his (strong) leadership. They forget the fact that this (brutal) dictator is known for his (underhanded methods) of handling oppositions to his leadership. Opposition figure Boris Nemtso was (assassinated) on Russian streets. A few days ago Russian hackers (infiltrated) the State Department’s email systems. Now, this same government is launching a (criminal) investigation against their own colleague. Is this host going to support his colleague, or is he/she going to praise Putin for being a strong leader, and throw his/her colleague under the bus just to (appease) Putin?

These cafeteria Catholic clowns can’t climb their way out of this ditch. They are on tape spewing this rhetoric. Target their elderly conservative audience.

From Ellen’s post:

“Not mentioned was that Scales is the president of a company, Colgen, that stands to benefit from more war”

Just like “Five Deferment Dick” Cheney, former head of Halliburton who made A HUMONGOUS FINANCIAL KILLING on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

’Nuff said.

Wait, wait, wait. I thought FoxNoise was about the Putin-loving and they not only allowed this man to suggest killing Russians on a FoxNoise program not once, but TWICE?

Oh, sorry. I forgot. This is FoxNoise, where the motto now seems to be: We smear Obama no matter how many sides we take to do it.

Apparently, Russia doesn't like it when retired generals go on TV and talk up mass killings of Russians.
