Rush Limbaugh - he of the dwindling advertising revenue - has, not surprisingly, spoken out against President Obama's support for same-sex marriage. With his typical brand of opinionizing, Limbaugh can't just voice an opinion but has to attack while he's at it. So, after Shepard Smith voiced his unequivocal approval of President Obama's stance, Limbaugh went after him.
If you ask me, Limbaugh held his fire somewhat - and I'll bet it's because Smith works for GOP Central aka Fox News. Still, it's a sign of a possible Republican civil war in the works. (H/T Aria and Addicting Info)

Patrick, I think the reason why “the right-wing seems always at, or wishing to be at, war with some one or something” is because the majority of them haven’t actually been in a REAL war. Granted this doesn’t explain folks like Allen “War Criminal” West, but it DOES explain a sizable chunk of the FoxNoise brigade and Rush Limbaugh.

@Vermontdave: I caught where he said “Shemp” twice, and the first time I had to replay it a few times, because I simply could not hear the “P” sound. I sat there wondering if he called him a sexual slang, or if that was an accident from his slurring.
That said… most of what I’m seeing towards Smith is minor, like they’re trying to bait him. It’s just attitudes and small barbs.

@vermontdave. Some say that mixing large doses of oxycontin and viagra does cause memory loss. This may explain Rushbo’s more than usual incoherence.
