Don Imus went on a rant against Dana Perino, accusing her of being a loser and saying, “She sucks and her book sucks” for reasons that I, frankly, don’t get.
Let me say that I have come to like Perino. I have liked her ever since I heard her interviewed by Julie Mason on SiriusXM’s Press Pool. But even so, it’s hard to figure out what she did to so annoy Imus. Perino had her talking points down, for sure. But no media guest, much less one who’s a television host and former press secretary, would go on a national broadcast without doing so. Besides, she responded to Imus’ questions. That's why I’m calling no fair on this one.
I’m also siding with Greta Van Susteren. She wrote on her blog, “I have no idea what provoked this — but it sure is nasty and unwarranted.”
Anyone who knows Fox News knows that there’s a long-standing dictate against “shooting in the tent.” So perhaps it was no surprise to learn, a few days later, that Imus is leaving Fox Business Network.

I agree with Imus…I watched it and she was very arrogant…Don tried to be nice but I could see he was getting annoyed. Dwight Yoakum her opening act? Really! Imus…You are right! She is a loser! Her dog is America’s dog? Really! I think my dog is Americas dog! I thought she was vain…..and super arrogant! Go Don Imus! You nailed it!

Ailes practices double-standards when dealing with his staff. If Ailes was a real leader, which he’s not, he would terminate Imus’ contract before he leaves the network.
Allowing Imus to continue his show sends a strong message of sexism in the workplace. He could have called Perino a whore and Ailes wouldn’t bat an eye. Sexism runs rampant in this place. By letting Imus on the air during this time proves our point.

The “suits” will for quite some time be soaking up the losses that will be threatening to swallow their network once Imus’ ratings are gone! The ONLY ratings FBN gets are from Imus!
DON’T SHOOT IN THE TENT! has to be the Fox mantra because of how fragile their hold on the incredibly stupid has become!

Yeah, I also gonna agree with the previous two posters. She seems smarter than your average Faux personality, like Punch, but deals with the likes of Bolling, Gutfield, etc., for the damn paycheck. She probably isn’t as partisan, except when it deals with Bush, off camera, but on camera, she is just another Faux fool to me, living and preaching in that bubble.

Yeah, I’m with John McKee. Perino irritates me because she’s obviously too perceptive for the crap that so often comes out of her mouth, so she seems to me to be operating doggedly through tribal loyalty primarily.
What Imus’s problem is, I have no idea, and don’t much care. He’s a colossally narcissistic and unpleasant person.

With the constant, rolling avalanche of right wingers’ outrageous attitudes, indefensible actions and hard-to-fathom stoopidity, I find it difficult to actually differentiate between the rare, fairly reasonable folk and the truly appalling majority. Must try harder.
