If ever you needed proof that Fox News will look for ways to attack President Obama no matter what he does, check out how “straight news anchor” Megyn Kelly used Obama’s call for calm in Ferguson as little more than a vehicle to mock him.
Of course, Kelly would be attacking Obama had he not called for calm. But, rather than praise him, she fastened on another part of his statements to sneer at:
President Obama also calling for calm tonight in Ferguson – while saying it’s not his job as president to comment on ongoing investigations and specific cases.
There was hearty laughter off screen.
Kelly continued with showy sarcasm: “Really? Up next, a look back at some of the big investigations the president has weighed in on.”
After the break, she scornfully played a montage of clips of Obama “weighing in” on the Trayvon Martin case, Henry Gates and, of course, Ferguson. As if this is more important than Obama's calls for calm on a very tense day in America.
But if Kelly wants to talk about contradicting oneself on camera, there’s plenty in her own history we can mock:
- Kelly made a big show of outrage over Jonathan Gruber misleading about ObamaCare despite her own considerable record of doing the same.
- Kelly thought President Obama had the power to take executive action on immigration before she decided he didn’t.
- Kelly fear mongered for weeks about Attorney General Eric Holder enabling black voter intimidation of whites – right up until she forgot all about it.
- Kelly calls herself a “straight news anchor” despite showing a strong bias.
Earlier in the day, a Fox guest on another show also attacked Obama for calling for calm, this time accusing Obama of not really meaning it.
We’re not laughing.
Watch Kelly's pettiness below, from last night’s The Kelly File.
They feed this crap to their elderly, christian conservative audience who lap it up. Their elderly audience are easily swindled into believing the crap the third-rate producers and hosts throw at them.
These fools are no different than the swindler on the streets.

If the good doctor would like to deliver that message directly to the people on the streets of Ferguson, I’m ready to provide coach airfare, as well as a room as the Super8.
