The Five's Catholics Diss Catholic Teaching On Immigration?!
The Five's Catholics support Catholic positions which correspond to right wing ideology, such as reproductive rights and the ACA birth control mandate. Eric Bolling and Kimberly Guilfoyle frequently allude to their faith. But they don't have the same zealotry when it comes to immigration, an issue on which their Church is quite liberal. Last week (7/30), The Five attacked Rep. Nancy Pelosi for her commentary on immigration which referenced the National Conference of Catholic Bishops. Rather than examine what the Pope and Catholic leaders have said about the issue, the crew used her statement to push anti-immigration talking points and defend themselves against charges that they hate immigrant children and are bad Christians. Oh, nooo.....

Although Bill O'Reilly has no breaking the commandments about bearing false witness and telling lies, he does consider himself a man of faith. So, in the spirit of Christian fellowship, he used his Tuesday "tip of the day" to encourage his viewers to stop by a diner, in North Carolina, for a discount if they say "grace" before their meal. But sadly, for Bill, this practice (about which Bill wasn't totally accurate) has been discontinued due to - wait for it - those nasty atheists at the Freedom From Religion Foundation so odds are that we'll hear more about this on Fox!

Stephen Colbert took up the subject of the viral "apparently boy" video with a hilarious twist last night. Let's just say that Sean Hannity is probably one of the few people who wasn't laughing.

Fox Business’ Charles Payne took Fox’s cheerleading for corporations leaving the U.S. one step further yesterday: by attacking Walgreens for deciding to stay.
Read moreHannity Ignores Deaths Of Gaza Children, Complains Israeli Children Can’t Play Outside
Sean Hannity has been in Israel this week giving Fox News viewers all the pro-Israel perspective he can squeeze into a one-hour show. Frankly, much of it has been interesting. And as a Jew, myself, I can sympathize with what the Israelis are going through. But when nearly 400 children have been killed in Gaza, it seems heartless and out of touch to spend a segment lamenting how Israeli children are suffering by being forced to play indoors while completely ignoring the children suffering much worse in Gaza.

Bill O’Reilly didn’t just agree with Congressman Mo Brooks that there’s a war on white people, he did it by suggesting that black people are undermining and weakening America with their resentment. Of course, there was no thought given to the resentment, racial animosity and divisiveness that are part and parcel of Fox News’ modus operandi.

The Fox News stable is full of conservative Christians, with the majority of the heavy hitters being conservative Catholics. While Shannon Bream isn't part of the Fox first string line-up, she does provide news commentary and fills in for hosts. But in whatever function she fulfills, she provides Fox's Christian perspective which customarily consists of propaganda that corresponds to whatever Christian right talking point she is pushing, such as her support for anti-LGBT legislation. Last night, in keeping with the Christian right/Fox meme that the religious liberty of Christians is under attack, a theme she echoed in her coverage of gay issues, she advanced the now popular Fox meme about evil atheists using the evil IRS to harass good Christians. It was trademark Bream.

After world fury over Israel’s deadly strike on a U.N. school in the Palestinian territory, the “down-the-middle” Kelly File show tonight did its best to suggest that Israel did the right thing. Unfortunately for substitute host Shannon Bream, U.N. spokesman Chris Gunness was a very well-prepared guest who was not going to go quietly into that henhouse Fox wanted to referee from.
Read moreFox & Friends Propaganda Fail? Donald Trump Defends Al Sharpton!
It would appear that despite the best laid plans of Fox News producers, Fox contributors don't always follow the pre-scripted propaganda plan of attack. Yesterday morning, during Donald Trump's weekly rant, the curvy couch cretins teed up what looked to be a coordinated attack on the Rev. Al Sharpton who, in the Fox playbook, is considered a "race hustler" worthy of the hate and scorn directed against him by Fox talkers. Trump was tossed the propaganda ball - and then he dropped it! But Steve Doocy was still able to insult Sharpton, so it was all good.
