Didn’t you just know that Sean Hannity would use the ex-LAPD alleged cop killer to attack the left? Like clockwork, he found a way: by deceptively highlighting suspect Christopher Dorner’s praise for Democrats and liberals – and “forgetting” all about his support for Republicans. This, during the same week that Hannity has been whining incessantly about deception elsewhere in the media. Then, for a crowning bit of hypocrisy, he and his “media watchdog” buddy, Brent Bozell, spent the next several minutes mewling about the “double standard” in the so-called liberal media.
In his introduction, Hannity described Dorner’s online manifesto as “voicing dissatisfaction with the LAPD” (quite an understatement if you read the whole thing). But then Hannity added, “There are some other notable mentions in his lengthy online rant. It turns out that the gunman, Christopher Jordan Dorner, is a vocal supporter of President Obama, Hillary Clinton, Diane Feinstein and other top Democrats. Oddly enough, he vehemently opposes the NRA and viciously attacked that organization’s CEO in his letter.”
Oddly enough, Hannity left out Dorner’s support for Republican Chris Christie (“You’re America’s no s*** taking uncle. … Your leadership is greatly needed.”), how Dorner said that the only presidential candidate he supported in 2012 was Republican Jon Huntsman, and how George H.W. Bush was “always one of my favorite presidents.”
It turned into a trifecta of political opportunism for the “fair and balanced” network that allowed Hannity to a) play the media victim because b) the “liberal media” was showing its hypocrisy in c) not reporting the liberal/Democratic affiliations of Dorner the way you know it would have if he were a conservative.
In his very next sentence, Hannity said, “But don’t expect to hear much about this on liberal news outlets like CNN or NBC News because it turns out Dorner is a big, huge fan of those networks.”
Well, we know how Hannity feels. Back in 2008, shooter Jim David Adkisson revealed his thoughts in a manifesto in which he directly tied his animosity to Fox News contributor Bernard Goldberg’s book about the hundred people screwing up America. Adkisson also left behind a pile of books by Hannity, Bill O’Reilly and Michael Savage. And I can’t recall hearing a thing about that from Hannity.
To join in the Special GOP Victim martyrdom, Hannity brought on Brent Bozell. By the way, Bozell has lately come under criticism from the right for being a “hater” – which Media Matters convincingly validates – but there was not a word about that in the segment. Instead, Hannity went on to complain that if the manifesto had mentioned any of his conservative pals, “This would be big news.”
“Absolutely right. Absolutely right,” Bozell agreed. Then to pile on to both the deception and the aggressive attacks on liberals (under cover of playing the victim), he added, “You’ve got a direct association of liberal luminaries with this killer.”
“This in no way is to suggest that in any way any of these people should be held responsible for what this awful stuff this guy’s doing. No one is suggesting that,” Bozell continued. No, of course not.
Sure enough, after playing a clip of ABC’s Brian Ross saying last summer that it might be significant that there was a member of the Tea Party with the same name as the accused Aurora, Colorado shooter (who was later found not to have any connection) Hannity said, “It’s not significant either that this guy (Dorner) is a fan of Obama’s, Michelle Obama’s, Hillary Clinton, Chris Matthews and all these other liberals that he mentioned here.”
And then, with unintentional hilarity, Hannity exclaimed, “I refuse to do to them what they would do to us!”

Hannity: If Chris Dorner Liked Conservative Hosts Instead Of Liberal Ones, The Media Would Go Nuts
The manifesto written by murder suspect and LAPD office Chris Dorner contains some bizarre ramblings about how much Dorner loves media personalities like Chris Matthews, Piers Morgan, and Ellen DeGeneres. Sean Hannity tonight noticed that these details have gone largely unreported in the media, whereas if he had been a fan of right-wing TV hosts, the liberal media would have been eager to report on it to death.
Its about fairness. You want to hold FOX to a standard you wouldnt dare impose on any other news organizations, because they lean left.
And its not a “so-called” liberal bias in the media. Its real and been documented hundreds (if not thousands) of times. The vast majority of TV News is liberal and has a liberal bias.
The ability of some christians (lower case intended) to hate so intensely in the name of Christ is something I will probably never be able to understand and the fact that those very same people have ready access to a gun encourages me to keep my ideas to myself when in their company.
Why is it that people who say they hate politics are always going on and on about their brand of politics? I guess it’s the same sort of disconnect between the “word” and their understanding of same.
After a week here in Beaumont, I have heard enough pathetic hate and ignorance to last me a lifetime, all generated by those seemingly incapable of conversation without doing any more that repeat soundbites heard on Fox News the night before, including Hannity’s recent comments about the lunatic in California.
Amazingly, all in the guise of being ardent followers of the teachings of Jesus Christ.
The hate and ignorance displayed by these people is rapidly developing into a major threat to everything my country has attempted to represent for the last 240 years.
Hannocchio’s goal is to tie any controversy to Democrats to make them look bad.
Well…if Hannocchio wants to play that game, we can tie him to News Corporation’s phone hacking and bribery scandal in the U.K. Remind all the masses of Hannocchio’s boss, Ruthless Rupy, his foolish son, and the arrests of News Corporation employees.
He is in no position to talk about other people’s failures, given his own checkered background. His broadcasting career would be ruined if his audience learned the truth about him.
NOTE TO HANNITY
A blizzard is coming to the east coast, blame the Democrats on that one.
Right after he talks about a certain mosque arsonist.
