Limbaugh And Hannity: The Liberal Media Is In Cahoots With Obama's Divisive, Totalitarian And Socialist Agenda

Posted by Ellen -7859.80pc on January 31, 2013 · Flag

Sean Hannity and David Limbaugh couldn't whine enough about that evil liberal media last night. It started with a complaint – no, a bitchfest is more like it – about MSNBC's “deceptive editing” of testimony of a Sandy Hook victim's father (as if Fox has never done anything like that) and then segued into blaming the liberal media for "totalitarian," "socialist" and "divisive" President Obama's re-election and popularity. Somebody call a waahmbulance!

President Obama makes one, fairly mild criticism of Fox News and Fox accuses him of trying to stifle opposing views and stamp out the First Amendment. But MSNBC edits a video in a way conservatives don't like – and they're ruining everything! Of course, when Fox News is caught airing deceptively edited video, they slobber over the videographers!

David Limbaugh – who seems even nastier and angrier than his brother – went on a jag of sour grapes:

The mainstream, liberal media no longer reports the news; they try to influence the news... What happened here is a microcosm of what happens every day, where they try to set up an alternative reality to make it look like the things that are terrible in society under Barack Obama, the 8-10% unemployment, they try to paint that as normal. The fact that we've had the worst recovery in 50 years, they paint that as normal... They downplay (the economic report yesterday showing the economy had contracted). They downplay the plight of African Americans. They always paint a rosy picture of what's going on. And if it were not for that, Obama would not have won the election. He would not have a 60% approval rating... They cover up for him because they agree with his (totalitarian, socialist and divisive) agenda and they want to influence the agenda. The end justifies the means and we're suffering for it today.

The other guest, Juan Williams laughed at this, though Hannity bought it hook, line and sinker.

Williams said, “David, you just hatin' on Obama...” and he moved the discussion back to MSNBC.

But Limbaugh wouldn't let his conspiracy theory go. At the end of the segment, he said, “Do you think there's any chance that Barack Obama could have won this election were it not for the deliberate distortion and the alternate reality that the media is creating for him?”

Hannity jumped in to say, “No.”

So here you have it. The loud-mouthed “patriots” who think Americans are too dumb to think or find out the truth for themselves.

Hannity And Panel Go Off On MSNBC For Edited Heckling Video: NBC Is An 'Extension Of The White House'

Initial reports of a Connecticut hearing on gun violence claimed that a father of one of the Sandy Hook victims was heckled during his testimony, but video of the testimony shows the people only piped up after the father asked an open question.

Late to the party, but one quick interjection: If Obama was really a fascist, or a totalitarian… he wouldn’t give a shit. Fox News would have been shut down at the first infraction, and half the hosts would be “living overseas.”

Because that’s how people who actually were fascists, Machiavellian, or totalitarian all rolled. Someone who opposed them sneezed while the dictator’s talking, that person says buh-bye.

The fact that they’re all still alive, and allowed to air (other than being banned from a press conference they can’t be an adult at every now and again) immediately discredits that claim.

A smart man once told me the following: " Be very careful when you point a finger at someone else BECAUSE if you look at your hand YOU will see THREE FINGERS POINTED BACK AT YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!" So here we have a case in point!

Wonder why the clowns never mention how well corporate profits are doing with the “socialist” in charge?

David Limpballs: “They [the librul media] downplay the plight of African Americans.”

Yes, Dave — and, as an African-American, I just wanna say how TOUCHED I am by the concern for African Americans shown by both your big brother . . .

“Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?”

“Look, let me put it to you this way: the NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it.” (and he wonders why he he can’t get an NFL franchise) . . . and by Hannity — who never misses an opportunity to defend whites against the oppression of blacks, either real or imagined . . .

It’s pretty clear that David Limbaugh is desperate to make his own name for himself with the right wingers. What he did in this segment was almost completely nonsensical. He reiterated attack points on President Obama from 2010 Tea Party Rallies and then he jumped forward to blame Mitt Romney’s humiliation on “the media” rather than on Romney’s own failings. Juan Williams correctly responded by laughing at the ridiculousness of the statements and by asking Limbaugh if he’d been able to get over the election from last November. Limbaugh sputtered frantically over that and wound up with a version of “I know you are but what am I?”

A couple of thoughts:

1) “Somebody call a whambulance!” Ellen, the proper spelling is “waahmbulance.” It emphasizes the whiney, crybaby aspect. The way you spelled it—well, it seems like an emergency response vehicle that plays “Careless Whisper” and “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” (with “Last Christmas”added during the holiday season).

2) “David Limbaugh – who seems even nastier and angrier than his brother . . . .” Is it any wonder? He’s got to do something to get out of Rushbo’s shadow. Many younger siblings resent having to play second fiddle. So, even as he used big bro’s connections on the road to success (such as it is), he still feels he’ll never be as good as big bro but he’ll do what he needs to in order for people to acknowledge his very existence.

Yeah… Slanthead spent almost the full first hour (his daily out-of-control rant) on the radio Wed on this theme… playing much audio from “NBC” (that’s Hannity’s euphemism for those whose names he can’t remember, like Ed Schultz).

If this ain’t the pinnacle of hypocrasy!!! Who, more than any of the right wing hate and filth mongers (on Fox and elsewhere) distorts and plays deceptively-edited clips, than Sean?

Hannity did it just the other day with Hillary. His hourly opening “theme” for the radio slimefest is nothing but a string of out-of-context, manipulated snippets.

And doing this crap on the radio is far, far easier than on the tube; you don’t have to worry about those pesky pictures not matching. Just feed all the audio though clever filters and you can make it all sound like it was said at one time, in one place.

Slanthead’s ProTools lackey is good at this!

If there was an annual award for the most distorted, lying, smearing by deceptive audio editing, Hannity would win it every time, leaving all the others in the dust!
