While many conservatives are running away from Donald Trump and his resurgent birtherism, Sean Hannity is embracing it and all but calling for more.
During the "Great American Panel" segment tonight, Hannity said, "You know who I’m really happy with? Donald Trump! Donald Trump is telling Republicans, ‘Take the gloves off and start fighting!’”
Doug Schoen, not normally a strong advocate for Democrats (to say the least), responded by telling Hannity that “the best thing that can happen to Barack Obama is to have Donald Trump associate Mitt Romney with the birther issue.”
You may recall that Hannity regularly insists that he's not a birther - at the same time that he regularly promotes the conspiracy theory.

So while I was pleasantly surprised Schoen stuck up for giving the award to Huerta, it didn’t strike me as more noteworthy than the Trump comments.
Doug Schoen actually did the right thing for once, sticking up for Dolores Huerta and correctly referring to her as a hero for migrant workers everywhere for the work she did with Cesar Chavez. The others tried to scoff at this and call her names, but Schoen made clear she’s a pretty mainstream liberal woman, not the boogeyman Hannity attempted to paint her as.
Of course, Schoen had to revert to form and predict an Obama loss if Wisconsin were to vote for Romney – but that’s the same song and dance we’ve already been hearing. And didn’t Schoen publicly tell the Democrats to run someone else rather than Obama?
The RNC won’t be able to get rid of the Trumpster.
