Sean Hannity “covered” the “not guilty” plea of newly-apprehended Benghazi suspect Ahmed Abu Khatallah by trotting out the Hillary-hating mother of one of the Benghazi victims – and then prodding her to attack Mrs. Clinton and the Obama administration.
You could almost hear the partisan wheels turning in Hannity’s head as he calculated how to portray the capture of one of the suspects in the World’s Most Important Terrorism Attack as an Obama failure. Here’s how he did it last night.
Hannity opened the segment by “asking,” “Why is the man allegedly behind the deaths of four brave Americans being tried and Mirandized in a U.S. court and not at Gitmo?”
Instead of anyone who could really provide an answer, he hosted Pat Smith, mother of Sean Smith, one of the four dead Americans. Hannity spent the rest of the interview prompting her to criticize the Obama administration.
Hannity’s first question: “For 21 months, Reuters, the Times of London, the New York Times, CNN and Fox News… interviewed this guy in broad daylight, in public. If they can find him, are you angry that it took so long for our government to find him?”
Of course, finding Abu Khatallah and arresting him are two different things. The government needs evidence against him. We can’t just snatch a foreign-born citizen. Who knows what efforts have been made in all this time?
Certainly not Hannity show viewers. All we got from this interview was vitriol against Hillary Clinton and President Obama. As much as we can sympathize with Ms. Smith, she seems to have no credentials in law, international policy or terrorism. But she knew how to make Fox News soundbites:
This guy should be in Gitmo and he should stay there!
Hannity didn’t seem to care why she thought so. He moved on to ask, “What do you think of a guy that’s a terrorist, that killed your son, not an American citizen, but he’s gonna be tried in an American court. That’s the part of this that makes no sense to me and I wanted to get your take.”
Smith said Abu Khatallah should be put to death. “And I’ll push the button,” she added.
Hannity asked no questions about how Smith is holding up, whether she feels vindicated, whether she intends to watch the trial or anything else about the terrible tragedy she has endured. Instead, he moved to specifically prod her to attack Clinton: “You’ve been very critical on Hillary on this. …Explain.”
Bingo!
Smith let forth a torrent of personal animosity free of any real news, information or analysis of the capture:
I believe that Hillary was in charge of all of this stuff and she did nothing that she would admit to, to stop it from happening. My son is dead because of Hillary and she has not taken the time nor the energy or anything to talk to me. She will not talk to me. I am not part of the immediate family, according to her. The only thing she’ll talk to is how much money she doesn’t have.
Hannity closed by saying, “I want to get to the bottom of this as you do and this guy – you’re right – should get the death penalty.”
What Hannity really means is, he wants to get to the bottom of this so long as it serves his political agenda. If not, he’ll dredge up some other guest to distract from the news and deliver the anti-Obama, anti-Clinton message that's his real interest.
You can watch Hannity’s phony-baloney concern below.
We are not surprised by Hannocchio’s dark behavior. He’s been this way most of his life. It was divine intervention that this Omen never made it in the priesthood. Heaven knows what he would have done in the church.
What would Hannocchio say if we used his sisters, children, Merri Jill, her siblings, her mother, or his nieces and nephews for our political agenda? We can tell you that this Long Island Omen would blow a stack 50 feet high, and go after the individuals for exploiting his family, and extended family. You don’t want to see him with a nasty temper. Curse words would be flying out from his thin lips.
The Stop Hannity Express reminds all the masses to bring up Hannocchio’s abandonment of Cliven Bundy to all conservatives. You may want to ask those same conservatives why Hannocchio refuse to cover Operation American Spring in Washington, DC.
A prepared script for you to use:
“Are you upset that Hannity threw Cliven Bundy under the bus in Nevada? That still bothers you, right?”
“A lot of patriots were very upset with Hannity when he refuse to acknowledge Operation American Spring on radio and television. I bet you are still fuming about that snub.”
Keep reminding all conservatives about Bundy and Operation American Spring 24/7.
Coming down the pipeline: Hannocchio finds himself in trouble-again.
