Last night, Sean Hannity got together with one of his favorite bigots, Pat Buchanan. Most of the discussion was about the border crisis. But as the discussion ended, Hannity blatantly prodded Buchanan to attack President Obama for giving a shout out to American Muslims on WhiteHouse.gov.
Hannity was presumably attacking Obama’s statement on the Occasion of Eid-al-Fitr, a Muslim holiday. In it Obama said:
In the United States, Eid also reminds us of the many achievements and contributions of Muslim Americans to building the very fabric of our nation and strengthening the core of our democracy. That is why we stand with people of all faiths, here at home and around the world, to protect and advance their rights to prosper, and we welcome their commitment to giving back to their communities.
Obama could have been thinking of such notable Muslims as Muhammed Ali, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Mohamed A. El-Erian, chief executive of Pimco and U.S. Congressmen André Carson and Keith Ellison, e.g.
But to hear Hannity and Buchanan talk, you’d think Obama was working to institute Sharia law.
Hannity suggested Obama was being too Muslim friendly right in the “question” to Buchanan: “I thought that America was founded on Judeo-Christian principles. The president on WhiteHouse.gov, there was a statement that said the president put out that Muslim Americans – he thanked them for their contributions to building the very fabric of our nation. Is that true?” Hannity’s tone left no doubt where he was going with this.
Buchanan tried to take the high road at first. “Look, there are brave, honorable, good Muslims in this country,” he began.
But Hannity interrupted. “Did they build the fabric of America or was it the Judeo Christian ethic?” Hannity “asked.”
Buchanan got the message and he bit the bait:
Look, my goodness, 99% of the folks in the United States at the time the Constitution was signed were Protestant Christians. 1% Catholics, 1/10th of 1% Jewish. Look, this was a Christian country when it was founded. It was a non-religious state but it was a predominantly Christian country and it’s ceasing to be so and I don’t think that’s a good thing for America or the world.
According to Pew Research, there are nearly 3.5 million Muslims in North America. God forbid President Obama should send them good wishes on a significant holiday.
Take a good look at his background:
He lived in a predominantly white neighborhood on Long Island, went to predominantly white private schools, and had predominantly white friends.
Today, his children live in a predominantly white neighborhood, attend a predominantly white private (Catholic) schools, and have predominantly white friends.
This explains his friendships with the most vile, racist individuals on the planet. Hannocchio’s actions speak louder than words.
We could never figure out what Merri Jill saw in this crazy man. She should have took the high road instead of getting involved with this college dropout.
The truth about him is coming down the pipeline. The reaction from his audience will be priceless.
In his early years on the radio, when he only had a local show here in NYC, life was much simpler; he’d engage in fag bashing and bullying several times a week (with those LGBTs ignorant enough to call in). Once in a while, a black person or the occasional Mexican annoyed him, and of course he never let up on his campaign against elderly, retired Jewish teachers and civil servants whom Hannity felt should move if they couldn’t afford to pay market rates for housing.
But now, with millions of Moose-lims threatening our boy Seanny, and thousands of young brown kids invading precious Amerika, among others, how can one “little ’ol” Irish boy protect us?
Today (Thurs) on the radio, Hannochio turned his ire on the immigrants again and went into a major rant with the usual outrageous lies. I’ll save the details for the next Hannity/immigration thread.
Just sometimes, they don’t even pretend.
