Frank Luntz Throws Stones At Republican Pollsters From His Glass House

Posted by Ellen -7859.80pc on November 12, 2012 · Flag

On Saturday, November 10, Frank Luntz told America’s News HQ that Fox News viewers should be “outraged” at how they had been misled to believe Mitt Romney would win the election by “Republican establishment polls.” But while Luntz may not have run misleading polls, himself, he conducted a number of focus groups that suggested Romney would win. And he discussed them on a network that repeatedly suggested a Romney win.

Luntz said:

Look, the published polls that the Romney campaign and the Republican establishment were trashing day after day turned out to be accurate… This is a bad day for establishment pollsters and it’s something that they should be held accountable for. You have to tell your clients the truth and you have to be accurate. And to miss so many states and to be this far off? Your Fox News viewers ought to be outraged. Because day in and day out they were told that Mitt Romney was going to win. And the fact is, Ohio was never up, Wisconsin was never up. Pennsylvania was never up. These states – Iowa, New Hampshire – state after state were never up. The published polls were correct. Nate Silver was correct. The Republican establishment polls were wrong.

Luntz has an excellent point there. But then how does he explain his own focus groups – which had suspicious makeups and also suggested Romney’s triumph?

Luntz : “ Thanks to British bookies, thisAmerican is preparing to make a lot of money.”

Luntz : “ If the British public currently think Barack Obama is coasting to victory in the November 6 election, they are gravely mistaken. Mitt Romney will win this election. No doubt about it. He’s lucky he’s got Paul Ryan, a Wisconsin native, as a running
mate."

Conclusive proof even the Foxies are now aware that Fox caters exclusively to republicans. Should they have any democrats as they claim, they would not be “outraged” Obama won.

The problem with the lying liars of the right wing is they get a pass from the media on their lying most of the time, but lying is addictive and they forgot that reality doesn’t give passes. Their reputation and the reputations of their biggest liars should be irreparably damaged by this very, very stupid behavior.

Frank Luntz must be really hoping nobody has any footage of all his Hannity focus groups over the past year. I agree with his statements here, but boy is he the wrong person to discuss this matter unless he wants to admit his own wrongdoing.
