Fox’s Todd Starnes found a new way to exploit, for his own divisive purposes, racial tensions in Ferguson, Missouri. You may recall that last week, Starnes took to Twitter to throw race bombs at President Obama in the middle of racial tensions. Yesterday, Starnes took to Facebook to accuse President Obama of “orchestrating the Michael Brown tragedy.” And worse.
Starnes flaunted his contempt for the protesters and his president right in the first sentence of his post:
The uncivil unrest in Ferguson, Missouri continues—and it appears the Obama Administration may be orchestrating the Michael Brown tragedy.
Apparently, the “orchestrating” amounts to the Obama administration stepping in to try and calm the situation, doing an independent autopsy, asking the local authorities not to release a surveillance video allegedly showing Brown shoplifting. Also, asking the local authorities not to use armored tanks.
Apparently, trying to tamp down the tensions is borderline criminal to chickenhawk Starnes. He wrote: “It was a decision that in essence led to government sanctioned lawlessness.”
Then, for good race-baiting measure, Starnes concluded with, “So while President Obama whacks golf balls and dances the two-step in tony Martha’s Vineyard, his administration is in cahoots with a bona fide race hustler.” Actually, "in cahoots" is a stretch. Starnes refers to a report by the Los Angeles Times that Obama advisor Valerie Jarrett and Eric Holder "have been discussing their game plan" with Sharpton. Although Starnes doesn't bother to provide any proof, he seems to be referring to this report in the Times stating that Jarrett "is in communication with Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon and key civil rights leaders including Al Sharpton to stay abreast of the situation."
Sorry, Todd, but the real race hustler is you. Again.
