Subject: High medical bill
My name (redacted), I live in (redacted). On Dec 7 I felt pain in my abdomen, it got worse, so I drove to (redacted hospital name). They did test, explained I needed to be admitted to have Gall Bladder surgery the next morning. I had arrived at the hospital at approx. 4;30 pm. I stay over night, have surgery the next morning, and was at home by 3:30 the next day.... I received my bill yesterday in the amount of 33,598.58!! I called to complain and was told the Federal Government sets the prices for medical procedures!!! Is this true? I looked up gall bladder removal average prices in the US, the highest price I could find was 11,000 in NY. Just wondering if this is legal?
Subject: Food Stamp Fraud
Good morning,
I just finished watching your report on Food Stamp fraud, and wanted to let you know that I have witnessed this on over 200 occasions during the past 2 years. I am a (redacted), resident and know that a large majority of the residents in this area are on the Welfare Program, (location redacted) who receive 200.00 per month per individual in their household. I have been a recipient of benefits since coming out of self-admitted rehab in the (redacted) area.
I have been behind people who sell their food stamps to vendors for .50 on the dollar for gas, cigarettes and cash by many of the small business establishments in this area. What do the people do with the money is beyond what I can report to you. Although, I have seen them go directly to the (redacted names of clubs), both located on (address redacted) than you can imagine.
At one point, about a year ago, I approached a gentleman with my Access card (200.00 value) and had him sell it for 100.00, and gave him 10.00 for his efforts. I used this money to cover my rent, then went to the food banks to keep food in my home.
I have felt very guilty about participating in this, but desperate people do desperate things. I can only report that I did not buy drugs or alcohol. I have been tryng to rebuild my life after completing a 6 month rehab program, self admitted. The problem is far greater than you can possibly imagine, and this is only verified by my personal witnessing in (redacted town). There are more fraudulent transactions going on at (redacted name and address) with Federal Government Student loans. I hope my information will also help you to further investigate government fraud. Government drug testing should be mandatory for anyone receiving Food Stamps.

To the second letter-writer: No. You’ve been lied to. You didn’t mention WHO told you that the Feds set the prices, but whoever it is was merely covering their ass. Additionally, you didn’t mention if this bill was what YOU had to pay over what your insurance covers or the actual bill because you don’t have insurance. The reason this is important is because the real culprit setting prices are the insurance companies in cahoots with the medical industry (hospitals AND physicians). I’m guessing you don’t have insurance but that’s really neither here nor there. The fact is that your medical bill is, say it with me now, PRIVATE ENTERPRISE IN ACTION. You know—what FoxNoise wholeheartedly endorses.
To the third letter-writer: So, when you FIRST bore witness to this fraud, why didn’t YOU get involved and contact your local welfare agency as well as the police and your local district attorney? And then, of course, it is interesting that, while you’re complaining about this fraud, YOU WERE AN ACTIVE PARTICIPANT IN THE FRAUD. You claim to feel “guilty” about it, and yet, you did it. I doubt anyone was holding a gun to your head, forcing you to engage in fraud and yet, you did it. Now, here’s what I suggest you do: Shut your whining mouth and learn your lesson. Maybe the OTHERS about whom you’re complaining were in a similar predicament. Did you stop to think about that, you sorry piece of crap? Or did you feel “entitled” to pass judgment on the others?
As for that final letter-writer: I hope his “book” is easier to read than his letter. Of course, I’m guessing his “book” was published by some vanity press (you know—the kind where you pay them to print your book and you sell them out of the back of your van).
