Fox Host Eric Bolling Being Considered For Trump Commerce Department

In yet another direct tie between Fox News and Donald Trump, host Eric Bolling is reportedly under consideration for a position in the Trump administration’s Commerce Department.

Politico broke the news Saturday, noting that it’s unclear what position Bolling may be up for (though it’s probably not secretary).

“At this time I can’t confirm anything,” Bolling told POLITICO. “I’m sure you understand.”

Bolling is a long-time Trump sycophant and considering Bolling’s record of bigotry, it’s not a big surprise. But while Trump pretends to care about the little guy, Bolling has open contempt for the poor.  We’ve written about this many times.

Media Matters has more on Bolling’s bigotry and conspiracy theories.

But nothing can compare to Jon Stewart’s brilliant takedown of Bolling and the Fox News war on the poor. Enjoy it below, from the March 13, 2014 The Daily Show.

Eyes, there have actually been stories that he is considering giving Palin the Dept of the Interior, to make use of her vast knowledge of the environment. Education is a different story – it looks like Trump’s people intend to either phase it out or simply eliminate it – this would check off a major bucket list item for many Right Wingers who want to rub Jimmy Carter’s face in it. EPA is also likely to be slashed way down.

Given Trump’s affection for Fox News and the pundits therein, we’re likely to see a mass defection from the network into Trump’s White House. Another one we haven’t mentioned here yet is KT McFarland, who gained notoriety for trying to lobby a candidate on behalf of Roger Ailes some time ago. McFarland was gloating on Fox about the various extremists already being named, like Flynn and Pompeo, and then said, spectacularly, “The grown-ups are back in charge.” Riiiight. What she means is that the guys who embarrassed us in front of the world and were fired from their jobs are now free to cause more misery and more embarrassment before they get fired again. But the real kicker came at the end of the interview – when she acknowledged that she’s being considered for a position herself.

Oh come on. Surely every cabinet needs at least one 22nd Round draft pick from the rookie Gulf Coast League.

Does anyone else get the feeling that this is amateur hour or karaoke night??

Remember what happened to W the Stupid his first few days in the White House? The Chinese forced down one of our spy planes and made Bush apologize for it. And Bush’s people may have been evil (Cheney) but they were experienced.

It’s hardly a secret Der Furor is a Fox News creation. Every Thursday morning he’d show up on “Fox & Friends” for his talking point training.

Pundit Laura Ingraham as press secretary. Bolling at Commerce. I hear Rudy is on the short list for State.

I’m sure this isn’t the end. Perhaps ‘weather guy’ Steve Doocy to head NOAA. ‘Rocket scientist’ and obvious MENSA Brian Kilmeade to run NASA. Too bad Sarah Palin is out of vogue at Fox. She would be perfect to head Education.

Saturday Night Live was never so funny.

No surprise, this is the presidency that Fox built.
Fox is all set to be the official media of the US government.
It’s not like they will need to do a lot of hiring when half their staff goes into government jobs, they can just keep the same hosts and guests and then fail to identify them as part of the Trump administration.
