Megyn Kelly aired not one but two segments about the controversy surrounding Navy SEAL Robert O’Neill for going public with his claim to have shot and killed Bin Laden. And guess what? Each of the guests blamed President Obama for the illegal breach of protocol.
The Christian Science Monitor explains why the SEALs are upset with O'Neill:
O’Neill’s claim of responsibility here has roiled the secretive world of US special operations forces. Others who took part in the raid have given slightly different accounts of the event, with shots coming from as many as three SEALs. O’Neill was the second man charging the room where Bin Laden was hiding, and others say the first man may have killed the Al Qaeda mastermind before leaping at two women in case they carried explosives.
...Still, SEALs are expected to keep their mouths shut, writes veteran Time military correspondent Mark Thompson. They sign non-disclosure agreements. Selflessness is supposed to be part of the special operations ethos.
And they are only the tip of the spear. Hundreds of other personnel, from intelligence analysts to military technicians, work behind the scenes to support SEAL exploits.
But while Megyn Kelly promised to “discuss all of that,” most of what got discussed was the culpability of the Obama administration.
It just so happens that O'Neill is the star of Fox's two-part special on the killing of Bin Laden that aired last night and tonight. So we can understand why Fox would want to defend their star player. I'm guessing that the attacks on Obama were just icing on the Fox News cake.
Watch it below.
1. Bush was President when 9/11 happened.
2. Bush claimed he was going after bin Laden, but never found him.
3. Navy SEALS, sent on a mission by President Obama, found him and killed him.
Can anyone in the real world argue with that?
No — but, like you said, we’re dealing with people who are detached from reality . . .
Here’s a comment I read that just encapsulates the idiocy: “Obama was sleeping when this happened, Bush was the one who started the policy to get Bin Laden!!”
Well, that’s actually true.
He “started the policy” when he went back to bresh clearin’ on his fake ranch after an aide delivered a memo entitled BIN LADEN DETERMINED TO STRIKE IN US — and continued its implementation when he sat and read “The Pet Goat” to schoolkids while the nation was under attack . . .
.
This guy was not at all what I expected, and the skill with which the program was done wasn’t anything close to the pap I expected from Fox. Peter Doocy, who conducted the interview parts, amazingly, is very, very good.
I loathe having to praise Fox for anything, but this was a really first-rate and riveting program.
That said, Dear Megyn should watch her own net’s program and hear what O’Neill has to say about why he came forward, which of course has nothing to do with Obama. In the parts I saw, he has nothing but good to say about both Obama and President Bush— which if he’s a right-winger, would make him one hell of an outlier.

Hopeless!
BTW, it was an incredibly stupid move on O’Neill’s part to identify himself.
Al Qaeda has surviving members, genius- Some of which are now leaders in ISIS. They now know your face, your name, and are currently looking for their shot with the ones already named by the people you went to. Add to that that they think you’re the one who plugged their old boss, and well…
Thanks for your service, because a stupid hero is still a hero, and enjoy wondering when and if “that day” comes.
