There's a forum of two, separate town halls on MSNBC right now. Hillary Clinton is going first, then Donald Trump. Matt Lauer is moderating.

Why, oh why, does nobody bring up the fact that NOTHING APPARENTLY HAPPENED as a consequence of Hillary’s decision to use her own set-up? Unlike what happened when the Bush administration decided to “out” a CIA covert agent in retaliation against her husband.
I wonder if even the most evil-minded hacker would have even thought about this being a possibility.
I also wonder how many times the official sites were hacked during that time? Seems the Pentagon was a favorite target. Would the hackers of that time have even thought about the possibility that someone could be working through a personal server? Somehow, I doubt it.

I refused to watch a minute of of this made for TV political abomination. This was about NBC drumming up ratings by having Trump on TV, and looking tough questioning HRC about emails emails emails. Jesus effing Christ NBC! There was nothing about this “show” that was enlightening, educational, or informative. It is manipulation of the uneducated masses of ’Murica, nothing more. All sides are in agreement this morning that Lauer screwed the pooch big time. But this is what the execs at NBC believe is good TV, and good “optics”. Neverfuckingmind that is was pure BS.

Hillary grilled endlessly about emails. The Blackberry must be the key to a strong national defense. Did Trey Gowdy write Matt’s questions?
Long Dong Donald repeats his usual lies. Against the Iraq War except when he was for it.
As bad as Matt Lauer was, Chrissie Wallace will be far worse.

The good news is this so-called ‘debate sneak preview’ indicates it’s unlikely the debates will move the needle because neither candidate have anything left in their quivers to knock down their opponent.
Shyster salesman Trump is all boast backed up by secrecy and vagueness. Hillary can’t get past Email-gate to talk about much else. She also has a track record in politics – unlike fast talking Trump – which is mixed so she must play defense on issues like her bad decision to go with Dubya on Iraq and intervention in Libya.
Pray Hillary limps across the finish line first. She should have realized the Republicans would exploit her pushing the envelope. It doesn’t matter how much the Bushies used private email and ‘lost’ millions of email. Only for Hillary does it deserve the death penalty. It also doesn’t matter how much access Bush and Romney gave political donors access, it only matters when Hillary does it through, ironically, a charity foundation.

I loved Rachel Maddow when she was on Air America and talked like a normal smart person. Now, she has this glib happy talk thing going (that I’m sure MSNBC trained her to do) that I can’t stand for even one minute.

Yes, it was Krystal Ball. I, too, thought it was Dana Loesch at first sight.
The man was Republican Marc Thiessen. He’s on almost every night.
Ed Henry is back but he’s a reporter. So his bias is just more subtle.

I switched briefly to Faux afterwards, and think it was Democratic pundit Krystal Ball defending Hillary, not Dana Loesch. They look very much alike, at first I also thought it was Dana.
I thought Hillary was mostly well spoken and Donald vacuous. Many of Donald’s comments should dissuade all his fans, but they won’t.
It’s unfortunate that Fox has brought Ed Henry back, but they are having a few personnel problems lately.

Just turned off Rachel too, Ellen. She doesn’t seem to be taking this seriously. Meanwhile on Faux, get this, Ed Henry is back and yelling about Hillary’s “lies” and Dana Loesch, yes Dana Loesch, is defending her.
Trump was allowed to duck every question. I don’t think he actually answered one. He was an embarrassment and Lauer wasn’t much better.
It’s amazing. Drumpf is actually that stupid.

And now it’s the “How glib can I be” Rachel Maddow. I changed the channel. I love Maddow but I hate her show and her TV demeanor.

I missed much of Clinton’s portion but I thought Lauer did a shockingly awful job with Trump. Trump was allowed to lie and duck almost every question. I’ve seen better work on Fox.
