Ainsley Earhardt just happened to echo another female Fox colleague when she said about Trump’s refusal to fire or suspend campaign manager Corey Lewandowski after he was charged with battery of reporter Michelle Fields, “You have to praise him for the loyalty.”

As Sean Hannity played a video that clearly shows Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski yanking reporter Michelle Fields, Hannity insisted the video didn’t show what everybody who isn’t a Trump supporter sees, including the police that just charged Lewandowski with battery.

Fox News didn’t need any actual facts about the Capitol Hill shooter before the network started fear mongering that it might be an ISIS attack. Or, on Fox Business, that we need to start cracking down on Muslims. As it turns out, the suspect is an American Christian.

The death of a police officer, killed by an undocumented immigrant, is undeniably tragic. What makes it worse is that Fox News and his mother, an anti-immigration activist, continue to use his death to push their nativist agenda. Last week, Mary Ann Mendoza appeared on Fox to, again, push the Fox propaganda about bad, very bad "illegals."

Despite a scathing smackdown from NYPD Commissioner Bill Bratton, Ted Cruz continues to insist that New York ran a successful Muslim profiling operation that was only ended out of “political correctness." Host Shannon Bream allowed Cruz’s lie to stand unchallenged.

John Avlon, editor-in-chief of The Daily Beast, neatly summed up how Fox News both helped and was hurt by Donald Trump’s candidacy: “This is what happens when you try to get in the business where you appease people—you appease the crocodile, hoping it eats you last.”
