Trump Campaign Manager Corey Lewandowski Backs Out Of O'Reilly Appearance

Corey Lewandowski, Donald Trump's campaign manager, was charged with battery today. He was supposed to appear on The O'Reilly Factor tonight but, apparently, has chickened out.

After booking Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski and the former Breitbart reporter he’s accused of assaulting, Fox News tells TheWrap, Lewandowski has canceled his appearance on the network.

“Corey Lewandowski was booked exclusively for tonight’s show and the campaign subsequently canceled his appearance.” Executive Producer of “The O’Reilly Factor”Amy Sohnen said in statement on Tuesday.

TheWrap also notes that Lewandowski's accuser, Michelle Fields, is scheduled to appear on The Kelly File, immediately following The Factor.

I highly recommend this rundown of the Lewandowski saga in The Washington Post, by Philip Bump. He catalogs Trump's evolving excuses for Lewandowski's behavior, starting with Trump's insistence that nothing happened between Lewandowski and Fields which has now morphed into Trump accusing Fields of physically threatening him. Yet, as Bump points out, the Secret Service didn't seem to think so.

Antoinette ..I don’t think that the danger is to the GOP/Republican Party. It will use their front runner as it used Bush/Cheney to govern.

The danger is to US … our democracy …economy … our way of life ..and a repeal of 20th Century American social progress!

GOP/Republican governance has been horrific in 21st Century America.
Examples:
Bush/Cheney 2000-2008
GOP/Republican led Senate and House 2010-present

GOP/Republican governance in the States 2010 -present all fiscal nightmares while repealing 20th Century social progress.

Lewdman must have dirt on Trumpster, otherwise he would have been thrown under the bus.

The longer Trumpster stays in the race the worse it gets for the GOP.

Marco, I very much doubt there was any intention, or any possibility, of having them both in the same studio. A large proportion of Fox and other cable guest appearances are done via remote. Lewandowski in particular right now is pretty busy in Wisconsin and not going to fly by to NYC for an in-studio O’Reilly gig.

This is how unprofessional and sensationalistic Fox trash tv is. Really, the perp in the same studio with the victim? And they should wait until the hearing is over. Anything Ms. Fields says will be twisted. BTW, I haven’t been in the mood to get my rage on today. Did anyone mention yesterday’s Capital shooting? Either the Dawson guy will be portrayed as a fake lunatic preacher or it will have been expected because he’s black. My guess is that even though it happened in the Capital building Fox won’t find it newsworthy because the guy isn’t Islamic.

I think Corey Lewandowski is making a mistake here. Someday Mr. Lewandowski may encounter a bigger, stronger female reporter, and an arm grab may not suffice. The host of The O’Really Fact?or could school Mr. Lewandowski in The Staircase Neck Drag Maneuver. If he wants to hone his bullying skills he should seek instruction from the best.
