Ex-Fox pollster Dick Morris' confident prediction of a Romney landslide last election is something he’ll probably never live down, but he’s trying. Last night he was with Piers Morgan on CNN, giving his first interview since leaving Fox (compete video is at this Mediaite link). While admitting he had been “wrong at the top of my lungs,” he spent the interview either blaming a hurricane, saying everyone else had got it wrong too, or telling the Republican party how it should reposition itself (in case anyone's listening).  

On Fox & Friends this morning, Steve Doocy made what appeared to be a sexist dig at Hillary Clinton - by saying, "Face lift, perhaps?" about the "glamorous" new photo of her on a website. But later, after being criticized by "lefty blogs," Doocy tweeted that he was referring to the site getting a facelift.

Sean Hannity hasn’t forgotten his pal George Zimmerman, victim of reverse racial prejudice. Yesterday, a Florida judge denied Zimmerman’s request to delay his trial for the murder of the unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin – and Hannity didn’t need defense attorney Mark O’Mara to know that a miscarriage of racial justice had taken place!  So before bringing on O’Mara to talk about how badly Zimmerman needs donations – and to let viewers know where to go to donate – Hannity did his best to whip up his viewers into some racially righteous indignation at Zimmerman’s racial victimhood.

"Fair & Balanced" Fox News provided extensive coverage for religious opposition to the HHS birth control mandate. Last week, the Obama administration proposed a compromise and the bishops are cautiously optimistic. Not so the religious right, the anti-choice lobby, and certain conservative Catholics who feel that the religious exemptions should include employers who believe that birth control is a big, ole mortal sin. So it's not surprising that as the mouthpiece for the religious right, Fox "News" has their back with the same kind of support and validation that was provided for the Catholic Bishops. And who better to provide support for employers who hate women object to paying for birth control than Fox's resident priest, Fr. Jonathan Morris who, in the past, has used his Fox pulpit to say that the mandate is "offensive" and that he is willing to die while fighting it. On Sunday, Fox & Friends provided validation for the views of those who still oppose the mandate - views articulated by Fox's one true priest, Fr. Morris!

Jon Stewart took on the Republicans’ argument that President Barack Obama was re-elected because of a “messaging problem” in the GOP. Then he questioned that by showing Fox News’ showcasing of messaging techniques from Republican pollster Frank Luntz. Plus, Stewart made the hilariously snarky suggestion that maybe the party needs some kind of PR machine with a veneer of journalism called something like “Ferret News.”

David Shuster, former reporter for Fox News and MSNBC, spoke candidly about his days as a Fox News reporter, compared Fox to MSNBC and revealed an instance where Bret Baier refused to report a story that debunked a Republican talking point. (H/T Eric J.)

Oh to be a fly on the wall at the Texas School Board. This week, education leaders in the State senate are grilling the creators of an online curriculum that they say promotes Islam and socialism while deconstructing American values and patriotism. And Todd Starnes, the ever-vigilant culture warrior, is making sure we know the ungodly and un-American things those lefties are teaching our kids. “They are indoctrinating our children to hate America,” said Janice VanCleave, of Texas Education Patriots.

It looks like Dick Morris has been kicked to the curb along with Sarah Palin by Fox News. There are reports tonight that Morris' contract has expired and will not be renewed.

During the Political Grapevine segment of Special Report yesterday, host John Roberts reported that the New York City public school system had "revealed" a much greater use of the Morning After Pill than had previously been reported. The suggestion, of course, was that the schools were covering up what a bunch of out-of-control sluts they had for students. Yet, Roberts failed to note that the greater usage of contraception has dramatically lowered teen pregnancies.
