Sean Hannity put on a show of caring about helping Americans in economic need during a Donald Trump administration. But even a blind man could see that what multimillionaire Hannity really cares about is making sure people lose their health insurance under the Affordable Care Act. That and tax cuts for rich guys like himself.

After Donald Trump blamed Fox News for his claim about some kind of refugee/terrorism attack in Sweden that never happened, Fox News jumped to pretend that Trump didn't make a fool out of himself. Fox also pretended that Trump didn't promote the same kind of fake news he has dangerously attacked in other news outlets.

First, presidential advisor Kellyanne Conway brought us the fake “Bowling Green Massacre” when she tried to justify her boss’ Muslim ban. Now, the boss himself has come up with some kind of refugee/terror attack in Sweden that didn’t happen. And Trump handled it with just the kind of presidential leadership you’d expect: He blamed someone else - in this case, Fox News.

Fox News did its part to help rally Donald Trump’s spirits today by booking Rush Limbaugh and freezing out pesky Democratic guests on Fox News Sunday. In addition to blaming Trump’s problems on all the usual conservative scapegoats: “sabotage” by “the left-wing courts, the left-wing media, the left-wing bureaucracy,” Limbaugh went the extra mile for the Birther-in-Chief with a racial swipe at President Obama.

Less than one month into his chaotic, flailing presidency, Donald Trump felt the need to shore up his spirits with a campaign rally today. Fox News, ever on the lookout for ways to help promote the very unpopular Trump, decided to suggest that Barack Obama had held a similar rally even earlier in his presidency. Unfortunately for Fox, that's what their beloved Donald might call "fake news."

On Fox News yesterday, anchor Harris Faulkner interrupted a political discussion to announce that the president's plane had landed in Florida for his weekend vacation. Not only that, a red banner announced this non-news, "URGENT."

Jesse Watters surely must have made his boss proud of him last night when, as guest host for The O’Reilly Factor, he just couldn’t understand why someone might think Donald Trump is “racially insensitive.” Because he’s had his photograph taken with black celebrities.

Last night, I posted that we've received an unusual amount of hate email about Shepard Smith from people who thought they were writing to Fox News. Since then we've received even more. This batch includes gay bashing. UPDATED

Less than a month into his presidency, Donald Trump is holding a campaign rally in Florida tomorrow. With nearly two years before the midterms and almost four years until the next presidential election, and chaos in the White House, the event can be seen more as an indicator of Trump's need to shore up his emotions than anything else. But Fox News seems ready to break out the pom poms!

In case you missed it on Fox News, there happens to be a Russian spy ship about 19 miles off the coast of Virginia. We can just imagine the wall-to-wall poutrage that would erupt on the “fair and balanced” network if Barack Obama shrugged this off the way Donald Trump is. But Fox seems to be working overtime to persuade us that there’s nothing to look at.
