When it comes to the question of who is kinkier - Jesse Watters or his big pimping daddy, Bill O'Reilly - the answer might be that it's a toss-up. Watters does seems to enjoy scouting out, for O'Reilly's viewing pleasure, scantily clad, drunken women whose being "blasted," according to Bill, causes their pregnancies and, as such, is the reason why they shouldn't get birth control with no co-payment! While the NY City St. Patrick's Day Parade afforded lots of opportunity for Watters to feature drunken women, the weather was such that very little skin was available. But that Watters did get his blarney stones off was shown in his summary of the parade being "pure debauchery" with "people throwing up, lesbians kissing each other..." Interesting -  Fox's Todd Starnes notices male thongs and chaps at gay pride parades and Jesse Watters notices kissing lesbians at St. Patrick's Day Parades. Okaaaaayyyy....

It turns out not all conservatives love Fox. Or at least feel it completely serves their needs. A new news network called One America plans to launch this summer and it's aiming to provide more conservative but also more substantive content.

Remember how last week Bill O’Reilly insisted, “I’m not in business to make money… I don’t care about that?” I hope that, like me, you never bought that. Because last night, O’Reilly announced that he had quit his radio gig because his tax bracket is too high or, as O’Reilly colorfully put it, “the giant colossus of ‘take, take, take’ from me, the entrepreneur,” made it “not worth my time any more.”

Fox & Friends is the morning mouthpiece for right wing outrage over any attempts to introduce new and different approaches to school curriculums. And while there are those who do support educational innovation, Roger Ailes does not and his "morning happy-talk show that Ailes uses as one of his primary vehicles to inject his venom into the media bloodstream" makes it abundantly clear by their framing of the issues as "The Trouble With Schools." Yesterday, the Murdoch right wing tabloid rag, "The NY Post" reported that OMG, NY schools will be introducing age appropriate books about war to third graders. One of the books is a true story about an Iraqi librarian who saved books from American bombs. While the books are not required reading, some parents are outraged and surprise, surprise, one of the parents showed up on Murdoch's right wing tabloid network, Fox News where she was validated by Steve Doocy who doesn't think that kids should know about scary stuff like war - which, in the case of the Iraq war, was celebrated by Fox & Friends.

During his suck-up interview with Senator Ted Cruz last night, Sean Hannity made a point of assuring viewers that the Canadian-born Cruz has no birther problem should he decide to run for president. Which would be of no interest had Hannity not done his best to attack American-born President Obama’s citizenship on far flimsier grounds.

Bill O’Reilly is still so intent on looking out for your that he is doing his best to cram “Jessica’s Law” down the throats of Coloradans whether they like it or not – and “expose” how the Denver Post is "merging" with Democrats to stifle the law – whether there’s evidence or not. Rest assured, however, this has nothing, nothing to do with the fact the Denver Post called out O’Reilly as a “fact-challenged” bigot. 

Oh joy. The right wing has found another target: Thomas Perez, President Obama’s nominee for Labor Secretary, and head of the Department of Justice’s Civil Rights division, who’s already unpopular among the right for some “radical” actions his department’s taken. Fox News and Fox Nation are vigorously reminding us how lefty and activist Perez is, and Senator David Vitter (R-LA) appeared On The Record last night to promise “significant pushback” on the nomination.

"Great American" Sean Hannity showed just how much he loves his country last night when, in yet another slobbering interview with Dr. Benjamin Carson, he announced that Republicans should shut down the federal government. Why? in order to repeal Obamacare. That's right, in order to repeal a law that provides health insurance for all Americans, Hannity wants to halt food inspections, medical research, air traffic controllers and God only knows what else. What could be more patriotic?

Sarah Palin made a brief visit from oblivion to CPAC over the weekend where, if you didn't fall over laughing at the spectacle of her complaining about other people demonizing the opposition instead of leading, you might have heard her take a swipe at Karl Rove. Yesterday, Rove just happened to be a guest on Fox News Sunday where he just happened to be given an opportunity to respond. I'd say he smacked her down pretty good.

Here at News Hounds, we have theorized privately for quite some time that something deeply disturbing must be going on Bill O'Reilly's private life to be driving him so far off the rails so often lately. Thanks to a post on Gawker this afternoon, I think we now know. O'Reilly's involved in a very nasty custody battle with his ex-wife and he seems to think he can get God to side with him against her. Seriously.
