Read moreFox Guest: AZ Anti-Gay Law Is Really Good For Gays!
Arizona State Senator Nancy Barto visited Your World two days ago to defend the anti-gay bill (now vetoed) she co-sponsored. Although host Neil Cavuto did question the bill’s provisions (a sure sign it was losing Republican support), he did so in the gentlest possible terms. But he failed to challenge Barto’s ridiculous claim that the law was actually good for gays because it would protect “a homosexual printer” from having to print signs for the Westboro Baptist Church.

Jon Stewart did a devastating take down of Arizona’s anti-gay bill (since vetoed) last night. That was well done, incisive, informative and entertaining as usual. But at the end, he directly connected Fox News’ incessant fear mongering about religion being “under attack” to the bill.

Attorney General Eric Holder has been hospitalized with shortness of breath and feeling faint. I haven't seen much about it on the Fox News Channel this hour. But over at "civil" and "tolerant" Fox Nation, readers are rooting for Holder to die. UPDATED with more comments and news about Holder.

The phrase," the Republican party at prayer," was once used to describe Episcopalians. But now that this denomination has gone liberal, that descriptor could describe the Catholic Church whose bishops were fan boys for Mitt Romney and the GOP because of Democratic policy on reproductive rights which includes the mandate for health care plans to cover sinful slut pills. Given Fox's hatred of the Obama administration and Roger Ailes' love for the Catholic Church, it was no surprise that Fox *pimped the bishop's opposition to the mandate and nobody, in Catholic Foxworld, represented this evil policy more than the Little Sisters of the Poor whose refusal to sign their exemption form is going to the Supremes. Fox did six segments which, in peddling misinformation and lies, included the suggestion, by "straight news" host Megyn Kelly, that the president hates nuns and Tucker Carlon's accusation that the nuns are on Obama's "enemies list." Kelly openly sided with the nuns whose cause is "on the side of the angels." Last night, Kelly continued her crusade for the poor, little, Poor Little Sisters.

Minutes after Arizona Governor Jan Brewer vetoed her state’s controversial anti-gay, SB 1062 bill, a pre-recorded Hannity show featured a pastor wanting to impeach Attorney General Eric Holder for his support of gay marriage. Or, as Sean Hannity quoted from the petition, “trying to coerce states to fall in line with the same-sex marriage agenda.”

Sean Hannity devoted an entire segment of his Hannity show last night to questioning whether or not Jimmy Fallon might tilt The Tonight Show to the left. As if Hannity doesn’t stack his own program so far to the right it might topple over one day.

The Statue of Liberty is considered a beacon of freedom whose message to the world is to "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free." But Emma Lazarus's eloquent phrases mean nothing to scion of white privilege, Tucker Carlson, who is aghast that his country would welcome those whose lives have been torn asunder by political upheavals and other circumstances which necessitate their seeking asylum here. Earlier this month (February 8th), Tucker Carlson hosted an anti-immigration spokesperson for a biased discussion of how changes in asylum rules are threatening our freedom. In railing against asylum policies, Tucker Carlson, showed us, once again, why he is such a total dick!
Read moreO’Reilly: Hispanics And Californians Have Ruined Colorado
Bill O’Reilly may fashion himself a great patriot but he sure hates the state of Colorado. Last night, in an O’Reilly Factor discussion about the state’s failure to outlaw the use of welfare cards in marijuana shop ATM machines, O’Reilly lamented the loss of “traditional” Colorado. He seemed to trace that loss directly to the influx of Californians and Hispanics.
Read moreFox News Takes Sides In Newest Christian Right Child Welfare Cause Celebre?
Back in 2009, the religious right, in tandem with Fox News, got heavily involved with what was basically a child custody case which pitted the rights of a Muslim girl's parents against a right wing Christian group. The Christians, whose side Fox was squarely on, were harboring the young woman who accused her parents of abusing her. The newest right wing Christian crusade involves a case in which a 15 year old girl who is in state custody as a result of competing medical diagnoses. Glenn Beck has been obsessing about the case. Matt Staver, whose religious right advocacy group represented the Muslim girl, is providing legal assistance. And now, Fox News is giving this newest radical right crusade national attention with one Shep Smith report and two segments on the Kelly File. While Fox and the religious right used the Muslim girl's case to vilify Islam, this case doesn't seem to have an ideological basis. Or am I missing something?
