Sean Hannity Waterboard Weasel - 1340 Days Since Promising To Undergo Waterboarding For Charity
It has now been 1340 days, or three years and eight months, since Sean Hannity said, on April 22, 2009, he'd undergo waterboarding to prove it's not torture - and do it to raise money for charity. Time to man up, Sean, to borrow one of you favorite phrases and either fulfill your promise or explain why you haven't.

Earlier this week, "Santa" (aka Sal Lizard) visited the happy Christmas curvy couch crew, on Fox & Friends, to discuss his new book about the "true meaning of Christmas" which, for Santa, is all about fighting Christmas "political correctness"- something that he has in common with Christmas warrior queen, Gretchen Carlson. During the interview Steve Doocy said that "We know that you love the spirit of Christmas throughout the year." Well, unbeknownst to Doocy, Mr. Lizard (who also does a "Vampire Santa") loves not just Christmas, but ladies, too. In the Christmas spirit, Lizard, who describes himself as a "dirty old man," and "pleaser of women," knows that if those ladies don't leave Santa cookies, he will "eat their pie." He also urges women to sit on his lap cuz he'll "be there" for them. Too bad jolly Santa didn't extend that invite to Gretch. She loves Christmas so who knows, she might have enjoyed it!

Michelle Malkin visited Fox & Friends Weekend this morning where the Curvy Couch Crew asked her about the National Rifle Association’s bizarre press conference yesterday. It was so bizarre that even conservatives panned it. But Malkin used the occasion to smear her political foes with her usual inflammatory rhetoric – and at the same time whine that this immediate aftermath of the Newtown massacre should be a time of “sober reflection” and inclusive discussion.

Toby Keith appeared on Stephen Colbert's 2008 Christmas special and performed this song for the occasion. Such a dead-on parody that some conservatives thought he was serious.

On Your World Wednesday (12/19/12), Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) spoke about actor Gerard Depardieu’s decision to leave France for Belgium because of higher income taxes on the rich. As Paul spoke, a banner on the screen read: TAX HIKES ON RICH FUEL EXODUS TO “WEALTH-FRIENDLY” NATIONS.
Read moreSteve Doocy Effuses Over Robert Bork's 'Great Contributions To America'
Steve Doocy can always be counted on to express slobbering praise for anything and anybody connected to right wing Republicanism. But this morning, he outdid himself in his gushing paean to conservative judicial icon, Robert Bork died earlier this week. In introducing his guest, the dean of the law school at the uber conservative Catholic AveMariaUniversity, Doocy said Bork "never made it to the Supreme Court; but his contributions to America were great." Really, Steve? What was great, however, was Steve's valiant efforts to advance the patented right wing propaganda that is a staple of the patented, propaganda pushing Fox & Friends.
Read moreFox Digs Up Another Imprisoned American - To Use Against Hillary Clinton
Just as I noted that Fox News has been using the case of Jon Hammar, imprisoned in Mexico on gun charges, as an excuse to attack the Obama administration and Hillary Clinton in particular, Sean Hannity trotted out a new case Wednesday night (12/19/12). This one involves an American pastor imprisoned in Iran. I think we can expect to hear a lot more about this one since it has the "benefit" of including Iran and a Christian martyr. Merry Christmas, indeedy!
Read moreBill O'Reilly Continues To Attack RI Gov. Lincoln Chafee Over 'Holiday Tree'
As a devout Catholic watchdog who guards against evil secularism, Bill O'Reilly is concerned about affronts to the sacredness of Christmas which is, of course, a secular holiday not celebrated by all Americans and if celebrated, not necessarily done in a religious manner. And while real religious folks would say that Christmas is a time for helping one's neighbor, Bill cares more about things like the RI state tree which the RI Governor, Lincoln Chafee, has dubbed a "holiday tree," as did his Catholic GOP predecessor who got no grief from Bill about that truly mortal sin. Last night, Bill hosted the head of the Becket Fund, a group that defends religious freedom and which gives "awards" to those who defile Christmas. Not surprisingly, the top award was given to the RI Governor. Not surprisingly Bill used the opportunity to continue spreading his Christmas venom by continuing to attack Chafee. Peace on earth?
Read moreFox News Christians Talk Faith But Ignore Guns In Response To CT Tragedy?
While Bill O'Reilly was quick to claim that the left wing media was exploiting the Newtown tragedy for political purposes, Fox News might be exploiting it in order to promote their conservative Christian agenda. Fox's Mike Huckabee used his Fox platform for using this horrific incident to promote the religious right's views on God having been "removed" from schools and public life. Other Christian pastors, who have appeared on Fox after the tragedy, spoke mainly about faith and connecting with God with little attention given to guns and gun violence in America. As such, by emphasizing religion over the very real political issue of gun violence, Fox seems to be in synch with the GOP whose silence, except for arming teachers, has been deafening. So in addition to religious exploitation, is Fox also guilty of politicizing the tragedy?
Read moreGretchen Carlson Weeps As Mike Huckabee Says Those Without Faith Have No Hope
According to the conservative News Max, Roger Ailes feels that "the clear and present danger confronting America is secularism." That might explain the blatant promotion of conservative Christianity on the "fair & balanced" Fox News. If there is any doubt that Fox has become a secular conduit for Christian proselytization, Monday's Fox & Friends should erase that completely. In an attempt to further walk back his offensive statement that the Newtown massacre was due to the elimination of God from the schools, Huckabee talked about how those who have eliminated God are shit out of luck. His self promoting sermon, about the necessity of God and the necessity for Christians to stop apologizing for God, so moved Gretchen Carlson that she wept. Seriously, this is the kind of stuff that you see on Christian broadcasting - but this is supposedly a "real news, fair & balanced network?" Really?
