Fox News Mailbag - 9/14/13 Edition
It's time for our weekly look at the email we've received from people who think we're Fox News. For us, it's a glimpse into the minds of Fox News fans. For Fox News snoops, it's a chance for you to get your mail. This week's subjects include the Million Muslim March, Syria and something about an impotent man and child abuse.
Read moreDana Perino The Winner Of Last Week's Outrageous Quote Poll
Dana Perino is not normally one of the Fox News flame throwers but her comments last week suggesting that people should leave the country if they don't like the phrase "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance really rubbed people the wrong way.
Read moreFox News Tries To Make Syria Deal About John Kerry Gaffe
In case you're not sure whether the just-brokered Syria deal is good news for the Obama administration - given that there are plenty of minefields still left to traverse - one glimpse at FoxNews.com gives you an answer in the affirmative. Why else would they make the headline, "Kerry saving face after Syria deal?" at the top of the page and, in much smaller letters, the headline, "US, Russia reach Syria weapons deal"?
Read moreJon Stewart Nails It Again: Fox News 'Parasitic, Succubus-Like'
While Fox News is not officially part of the Republican Party, it is their media mouthpiece (their out-house organ?!). As such, Fox will never, evah give credit to President Obama for anything that he does. He could be walking with Jesus and they would accuse him of taking Jesus hostage. Their hatred for Obama was reflected in their disappointment over Syria's agreement to relinquish chemical weapons, a move which they framed as a "humiliating defeat" for this country. Jon Stewart took on this latest anti-Obama meme and in so doing provided a perfect description of Fox News.
Read moreFox Guest Cardone: Obama Should Be More Like Miley Cyrus
On yesterday’s Your World, Grant Cardone, who bills himself as an international business and sales expert, was on hand to criticize discuss President Obama’s leadership style in the Syria crisis. Any Fox watcher worth his or her salt could have guessed in advance that Cardone was going to find Obama severely lacking. But Cardone didn’t exactly add to his foreign policy cred (even if the only FNC requirement seems to be a willingness to attack Obama with inflammatory soundbites) when he said he was more impressed with Miley Cyrus’ leadership in the last two weeks than Obama’s.
Read moreMichelle Malkin Calls President Obama A ‘Rodeo Clown’ Re Syria
Hatriot Michelle Malkin must have been so proud of her little racial dog whistle last night when, during a Hannity-show debate with Juan Williams over President Obama’s Syria policy, she referred to our president as a “rodeo clown.” Yet when Juan Williams suggested that her isolationism was un-American, Malkin was just outraged that someone would dare speak to her that way.
Read moreRudy Giuliani Calls Syria ‘The Most Bungled’ And ‘Most Mishandled’ Foreign Policy In The Modern Age. What About Iraq Mr. 9/11?
How on earth did Rudy Giuliani get to be an expert on Syria? His greatest claim to fame is that he happened to be mayor of New York during the 9/11 attacks. And while my New York City Democratic friends assure me Giuliani did do a great job in the aftermath, that hardly qualifies him as an expert on Syria or anything else regarding foreign policy. And he pretty much proved that by “forgetting” George W. Bush's invasion of Iraq and calling President Obama’s Syria policy “the most bungled” and “most mishandled” foreign policy in the history of the modern age. Seriously.

We posted the other day about Roger Ailes' proposed solution to the Syria crisis - as revealed in some off-the-cuff remarks in his Ailes-approved biography. Last night, Jon Stewart gave his comedic take on it.
Read moreTucker Carlson: Black On White Crime Is Obviously "Fashionable"
The Trayvon Martin case generated discussion about the role of race and racism in our society. But not for the white right wing which used the tragedy to advance their claim that while black activists and the president made the Martin case into a "race case," the real issue is the imaginary wave of black on white hate crime which, they claim is being ignored by the mainstream media. And because the president identified with Trayvon, these aggrieved folks think that he needs to show the same empathy whenever a black person is involved in a crime against a white - even when there is no racial motive. As the network for white grievance, it wasn't a surprise when Fox's famous "dick" Tucker Carlson advanced the claim that librul media hasn't given the same amount of coverage to Chris Lane, a white man who was randomly killed by a mixed race group of teens, as they did for Trayvon Martin. In addition to pushing this false equivalency, on a network that ignores real hate crimes, he also claimed that "fashionable" black on white crime is ignored and that Pres.Obama owes America an apology for this crime. No, I'm not making this up.
