Only a Fox News show would take a quote from President Obama saying that race relations in the country are getting better – and use it as an excuse to mount racial attacks on him.

Sarah Palin welcomed the new year yesterday by posting Facebook photographs on of her son Trig stepping on the family dog. Unfortunately for Palin, her followers did not find the photos as uplifting and inspirational as she did.

Fox News is facing quite the conundrum when it comes to covering Pope Francis. While Fox was in lockstep with past conservative popes, it isn't quite sure about the positions of the present Pope whose teachings don't fit the orthodoxy of the Christian right. The Pope's call for "redistribution" of wealth, an idea anathema to Christian capitalists, was met with a scolding from Sean Hannity. Official Foxpriest, Fr. Jonathan Morris was brought in to explain to Fox Christians that the Pope wasn't really talking about nasty welfare for the takers. But now that the Pope will be issuing an encyclical on climate change, which, in Fox world, is a myth, Fox isn't really sure about how to handle it; although Tuesday's coverage might indicate the direction in which it's heading.

Fox’s favorite sheriff, David Clarke of Milwaukee launched another round of incendiary attacks on Fox's usual scapegoats, this time for the shooting deaths of two NYPD officers on December 20. At the same time, Clarke complained about the “irresponsible and inflammatory” rhetoric of other people. But instead of calling him on it, host Neil Cavuto sounded admiring as he described Clarke as “fired up and fed up.”

Fox’s America’s Newsroom show discussed Cuba’s arrest and release of dissidents in typical Fox News fashion: by making it all about what’s wrong with President Obama and how he’s endangering our national security. Birther host Heather Childers ate up every accusation from her Obama-hating guest and never challenged a word.

Seriously? You just can't make this stuff up. This is what was presented as Fox Fact on Tuesday's Fox & Friends.
