Fox News rang in 2015 by making it 1955 all over again! Check out what host Clayton Morris called “some honest advice on how to get a husband.”
Clearly, the segment was meant to promote the sexist outlook of an upcoming book on dating tips for women, written by men. But co-hosts Ainsley Earhardt and Peter Doocy just couldn't seem to bring themselves on board.
Doocy sounded a bit skeptical as he said, “I don’t know what this is for. Because the first one is, ‘No matter where a woman was in life, she should always be able to cater to her man’s needs.’”
Earhardt did her best to be a team player. She said her new year’s resolution is “to be a better wife.”
But when Morris asked Earhardt if that bit of advice “fit,” Earhardt responded, “My goodness!”
All three agreed on the tip, “When he gets his ego stroked, he’ll be more inclined to love you more.”
But when it came down to specifics, not so much. Doocy read the next tip: “Prepare his meals, draw him a bath and massage his feet every now and then.”
Earhardt said her husband would laugh if she drew him a bath. She also warned that if women start such behavior, they won’t be able to stop. “Don’t ever do it,” she advised.
Earhardt also called the foot massage “So gross.”
