Fox News’ Cashin’ In show is supposed to be about business. But somehow, the entire panel on Saturday (9/21/13) was transformed into national security experts. Predictably, each one, including Fox News Democrat, Eboni K. Williams, found an excuse to criticize the Obama administration over the D.C Navy Yard shootings.

Instead of firing Sarah Palin, as I’d have expected, for lecturing Chris Wallace on his sources for criticisms against Ted Cruz, Fox News gave her a double segment yesterday to promote her phony run for the Alaska senate. And then allowed her to pretend that the reason she’s having doubts is because she’s worried about the corrupting influence of Washington on her children.

As part of a Hannity show discussion about Obamacare, Fox News’ Dr. Marc Siegel offered his rather mean-spirited complaint: that it will allow too much access to health coverage for too many. Rather than look for ways to make sure there are enough resources for everyone, Siegel would, apparently, prefer that millions go without insurance at all so that the haves won’t be inconvenienced.

Fox News civil war: Sarah Palin vs. Chris Wallace edition! After an interview with Senator Ted Cruz on Fox News Sunday today over his plan to defund Obamacare, Wallace mentioned he had received "unsolicited" attack material from Republicans who wanted it used against Cruz. Not long after, Palin took to Twitter to attack Wallace for not naming names.

What does Greg Gutfeld have in common with white supremacists? The answer appears to be that both believe that America is in the throes of an epidemic of black on white crime which is being ignored by the mainstream media. But never fear, the fearless and proudly non-politically correct Greg Gutfeld is there to expose this outrage being perpetrated by hordes of black thugs who, according to Gutfeld, are part of a culture which is "corrosive." Earlier this month, he devoted two rants to the imaginary black on white crime wave which, in Gutfeld's mind (such as it is), is motivated by hatred of whites - even though the case he cited could involve mental health issues. But he's not alone. According to the ADL, white supremacists (and Fox News) are pushing the same narrative about black on white crime. What's that saying about great minds running in the same gutter...

Per the "Vending Times," famous "dick" Tucker Carlson will be in the "windy city" next month. "CHICAGO -- "The National Automatic Merchandising Association reports that Tucker Carlson, the cohost of Fox News's "Fox and Friends Weekend," will be a guest speaker at its Advocacy in Action public policy conference, planned for the nation's capital early in October..." Not as good as CPAC but it's something. And like so many vending machines, Tucker takes in money and spews out crap. Seriously, color me impressed!!!! 

Sean Hannity and his two like-minded Republican Congressmen were just delighted with the House efforts to defund Obamacare. Even more sickening to those of us who, unlike those three fat cats, actually have to find and pay for our health insurance, none of them seemed to spend even a second thinking about how we’re supposed to get affordable coverage instead. Nevertheless, the two Congressmen beamed about what a big favor they had just done us.

It’s hard to imagine how a Republican Congressman could not be partisan enough for Fox News but that’s exactly what happened this morning on Fox News when Rep. Patrick Meehan was careful about his accusations over Benghazi.

On America’s Newsroom, Martha MacCallum talked about mass shootings and Aaron Alexis, the slain suspect in Monday’s Navy Yard shootings. “We need to figure out why this keeps happening in this country,” MacCallum said. But, of course, we didn’t need to think about the role guns might play.
