Our first place winners, each with 23% or 45 of the 196 votes, are:

Martha MacCallum, with her unique take on the Syria conflict: 

“(It) may be more than just a current foreign policy problem, with some seeing signs of biblical prophecy of the apocalypse in events that are unfolding overseas. Passages in the Old Testament even make reference to Damascus falling ruin, sparking world wide conflict that some say leads to the coming of the Messiah.”

and Dr. Keith Ablow, blaming video games for mass shootings:

"It’s maddening because guns are irrelevant to this problem. All of these killers… are mentally ill. We have a crumbled mental health care system that can’t address them. But more than that, we’re exposing people most at risk to a new and toxic drug called ‘virtual entertainment’ and the worst of it are these violent video games."

Our very close runner-up, with only one vote less, is Michele Bachmann, analyzing the Middle East with an Islamophobic dog whistle: 

“Any time, in any nation that (the Obama administration) could choose the side of the Muslim Brotherhood, they’ve chosen the side of the Muslim Brotherhood. …It’s bizarre.”
