While Donald Trump’s speech yesterday was widely viewed as “horrifying” and “frightening,” Fox News contributor, Donald Trump supporter and a favored-by-Fox vice presidential pick Scott Brown called it “rock solid.” Then he endorsed Trump’s Muslim ban.

Today, Donald Trump revoked press credentials for The Washington Post after they called him out for blowing the “secret Muslim” dog whistle on President Obama. Most news people condemned Trump’s attempt to stifle the First Amendment. But not Fox’s Brit Hume. He was annoyed at Trump for other reasons.

As I previously posted, Fox's Howard Kurtz criticized The Washington Post for correctly calling out Donald Trump's attempt to link President Obama to the Orlando shooting. A few hours later, Trump decided to ban The Post from his campaign. UPDATED

After Donald Trump repeatedly blew the "secret Muslim" dog whistle about President Obama – and even Hillary Clinton – for having failed to call the Orlando shooting “radical Islamic terrorism,” Fox News media critic Howard Kurtz was not concerned that Trump made such baseless accusations on Fox nor that the accusations went unchallenged by the three cohosts. Instead, Kurtz complained that The Washington Post was unfair to Trump in a headline calling him out for it. UPDATED

Fox News helped Donald Trump exploit the mass shooting in Orlando by suggesting that President Obama spoke about gun control and not the words "radical Islamic terrorism" in his remarks because he's a secret Muslim. And Hillary Clinton is under his secret-Muslim control.

Although we know for sure that Fox will be pouring forth some awful rhetoric over the Orlando attacks, last week was a pretty mild week. Still, Fox News "mild" is still pretty outrageous. So check out the current crop of nominees for Outrageous Fox Quote of the Week after the jump.

Fox News has already started up its “Obama won’t say the magic words to keep us safe from terrorism” meme again. During coverage of the horrific Orlando mass shooting, “objective” anchor Bret Baier all but asked a Republican congressman to attack Obama on that point.
