Cavuto Helps Promote A Balanced Budget Amendment
Governor John Kasich (R-OH) visited Your World Thursday (8/15/13) to discuss the “need” for a balanced budget amendment. Host Neil Cavuto gushed in his introduction, “(Kasich) knows the inner workings of our budget probably better than anyone. He has single handedly turned his state around.”

It's Saturday, which means it's time for us to open up our mailbag of emails sent to us but meant for Fox News. We had a small crop this week but I think you'll find them to be quite enlightening as to what goes on - or doesn't - in the minds of the "we report, you decide" network's viewers.

Late last night, I posted on Addicting Info about the outlandish conspiracy theory, put forth by American Family Association's Bryan Fischer, that President Obama had not really been in the Situation Room the night the raid on Osama Bin Laden's compound went down - but had been photoshopped in. Fischer's reasoning? Obama's head looked too small, he probably would not have wanted to be there if the raid had not turned out well and, in the tin foil-y-est reasoning of all, he was shown looking up when he usually looks down on everyone. Crazy? Yes. But not too crazy for Fox Nation to cynically post about it in a way that gave it undeserved credibility.

Although the news that a Rupert Murdoch-affiiated newspaper group is under criminal investigation may grab the attention of those of us with a special interest in the Evil Empire, what is particularly noteworthy is this little sentence in The U.K. Independent's report on the investigation: "The downstream effects of a prosecution would be apocalyptic. The US authorities’ reaction would put the whole business at risk, as licences would be at risk.”

I'm hardly a fan of Bernard McGuirk but I absolutely loved his put down of the Kardashian family. Starting with Mom and O.J. Simpson crony Kris Jenner and moving on to "sex tape" Kim Kardashian, he hit every note about what's wrong with this abominable American family. So not only did he support President Obama's comments about Kim Kardashian, McGuirk picked up the ball, ran with it - and scored a touchdown.

In its role as the fair & balanced news media version of the 700 Club, Fox News never wastes an opportunity to show that if you're right with Jesus, miracles can happen. Back in June, Fox's morning bible show featured an entire week of testimony from good Christians who died, went to heaven, met Jesus, and came back to earth to spread the word. One of those celestial voyagers was Pastor Don Piper who told his tale to Ainsley Earhardt who was just fit to bursting about how awesome this was. And just in case you missed it the first time, Piper was back on this morning's Fox & Friends where he received warm, Fox Christian affirmation, praise Roger Ailes!

Congratulations to Mike Huckabee. His recent comments about Muslims emerging from mosques "like uncorked animals" was not just offensive but made him last week's winner of the Most Outrageous Quote Of The Week Poll.

On Wednesday’s Fox & Friends, the Curvy Couch Crew didn’t just disapprove of Judge Shira Scheindlin’s ruling that New York City’s stop and frisk program is unconstitutional, they seemed determined to frighten their viewers into thinking that they were about to be victims of violent crimes at any moment. Gretchen Carlson set the tone when she announced, “People in Chicago, now, well, they’re warning New York: expect bad stuff to start happening here as a result of not being able to do that.”
Read moreMartha MacCallum And Hate Group Guest Attack Student Transgender Rights Law Which Has Bathroom "Implications"
When it comes to the culture war, official Fox "news" anchor, Martha MacCallum is a very good soldier. She was horrified about the availability of emergency contraception because, she felt, it would mean that slutty teens could purchase the pill if they thought that they might be pregnant. That was a lie because the pill doesn't, as she suggested, cause abortions. And when it comes to anti-bullying school programs that include lessons on gender diversity, she was in full agreement with the head of the homophobic hate group, the Family Research Council, Tony Perkins that schools should focus on academics rather than "transgender lessons." Monday, she joined the Fox propaganda blast against the landmark CA law, aimed at protecting transgender students, by agreeing with FRC spokesperson and all around homophobe Peter Sprigg that this law will allow students to "change their identity" on a daily basis. As she did with Perkins, she opined that schools should focus on academics. And, in keeping with the popular Fox talking point, there was an abundance of bathroom references. (What is it with bathrooms and the Christian right???)

On Tuesday (8/13/13), Neil Cavuto spent the first 20 minutes of Your World interviewing “one of my favorite people,” hate monger Mark Levin. Cavuto was so serious during the interview it was as if he was speaking to a politician or a head of state. Even though it was pretty clear Cavuto disagreed with several of Levin’s extremist views.
