Fox News Pastor Pal Robert Jeffress Says End Times Are Here!

Grab yer guns and head for the hills. According to Fox's go-to evangelical pastor, Robert Jeffress, "Fifty Shades of Gray" is a sign of the end of days!

Yes, it's true. Rev. Robert Jeffress, a radical Christian extremist who is anti-gay, anti-Muslim, and anti-Mormon might have surpassed his usual level of crazy talk. During his interview on Alan Colmes' radio show, Jeffress said that gay marriage, radical Islam, and "Fifty Shades of Gray" are a sign that Armageddon is just around the corner.

Jeffress thinks that the title of "Fifty Shades of Gray" should be 50 shades of perversion because it's "symptomatic" of the "lack of moral restraint" that the Bible identifies as a sign of the end times.

And lest you think that Jeffress has soiled his squeeky clean soul by reading the book or seeing the movie, he assures us that his opinion is based on what he has read about the book and movie (?!).  Wonder if he knows that the movie is a blockbuster hit in the bible belt. Sweet mercy! Are the sexual fantasies of good Christian women bringing on the Apocalypse? Oh, noooooo...............

I really wish all these so-called religious figures would remember one very important thing: According to their Holy Book, only one person knows when the “end times” will happen—God. And, as the Book of 2 Peter notes (repeating Psalms 90), “that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” With that little bit of information, the “end times” could last for centuries before Jesus/God returns. (Of course, the “end of days” has been prophesied since the 1st century turned into the 2nd century.)

From Jim Morrison and The Doors…The End

This is the end, beautiful friend
This is the end, my only friend, the end
Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
I’ll never look into your eyes, again

This is the end.

Apocalypse 2015? Does this mean that the space ship Jeesus will be swooping down soon to scoop up all of those evangelical teanuts? If that’s true, who will be left to vote in the Iowa Repug caucuses?

Can we only hope, so the world can finally get on with progress absent these loons just as god intended?

As Daffy Duck once said to Bugs Bunny “Oh no, not again.”

Remember that last time the end of the world was coming to an end on December 21, 2012?

Here’s what David Letterman said…“Today Wal-Mart announced that on apocalypse day they will open at midnight. I think the Mayan calendar is becoming too commercialized, don’t you?”

Sooooo, the end times are here, are they?

Does this mean I don’t have to pay off my credit cards and can stop paying my mortgage?

What’s that? religion is fine, but the Big Banks don’t agree with this guy’s assessment?

Well then, I guess the real power has spoken…
