I recently came across an interesting "Atlantic" article, "The Myth of the Beyoncé Voter," which uses, as its focal point, Jesse Watters' infamous, misogynistic comments about how single women depend on government - another iteration of the infamous, misogynistic "Uncle Sugar" comment made by another Fox luminary, Mike Huckabee. After reading the article, I realized that there are female Fox hosts who don't have a ring on it - two of whom, Kimberly Guilfoyle and Katie Pavlich, were sitting on the Outnumbered couch when Watters regurgitated his verbal vomit. Does Watters realize that they are in his new demographic of Beyoncé voters?
So here's the question, does Watters think that the Fox single ladies are a bunch of sluts who depend on government? Somehow, I don't think that the aforementioned women, as well as Andrea Tantaros, Anna Kooiman, and Jedidiah Bila, and Kennedy would think so. Besides, they get their birth control courtesy of Fox News which is, I guess, their "Uncle Sugar?" Oh, wait a minute. As single Christian gals, they wouldn't need birth control because they're abstaining until marriage. Never mind....
Seriously, Watters comments are worthy of scorn. But equally troubling is the fact that the single women on set didn't defend their fellow singles. Talk about cognitive dissonance.....
And for how ultimately worthless Watters is in the grand scheme of things mediawise… He’s these people’s Grand Wizard. Even Rush seems to look to him for who to hate next these days, he’s become that much of a trendsetter in the race game. In a couple more years, when Fox News is that channel even the Paulbots are ashamed to admit they ever watched, that’ll be how he keeps what relevance Karma decides he’s still allowed.
