Fox News considers those who advocate for the poor and minorities to be part of the "grievance industry" who "hustle" on behalf of lazy, dark skinned moochers.Yet, Fox hosts a steady stream of aggrieved, right wing Christians who take issue with any criticism of their biblically based hate. Chief among these professional persecuted Christians is Fox's Todd Starnes who loves Jesus but hates gays and minorities. Poor "Toddles" is always whining about some affront to either his Christian homies or himself. His latest grievance is that Facebook removed his post about Cliven Bundy who, in Foxworld and in Starnes' fevered mind, is a hero. Last night, Starnes appeared on Hannity where he told his sad story to his fellow hate filled professional Christian (attends daily Mass and lights candles for his friends!) Eric Bolling. Do I hear the sound of a whambulance?!
After whining about how Facebook has "censored" his past comments, Starn whined that liberals "don't have a sense of humor" and expressed his disappointment over these Facebook "attacks." (His "censored" comment was "joke" at the expense of undocumented immigrants) He claimed that Facebook is biased towards conservatives because those are the only people whose comments are censored. He mentioned how he was "slapped" by Facebook over his comment about Paula Deen, God, Cracker Barrel and Chick fil-A. He didn't mention that Facebook reinstated the comment which also included a reference to the NRA. He accused Facebook of being complicit in a liberal ploy to persecute conservatives such as "Chicks on the Right." He didn't mention that Facebook apologized to this group for threatening to shut them down over what Facebook said was a mistake.
The conversation then turned to vilifying Sen. Harry Reid's description of the sainted Cliven Bundy (whom Bolling, earlier in the week, referred to as a "freedom fighter") as a "domestic terrorist" which is how Fox would refer to any Muslim who had an armed stand-off with police. Patriotic Starnes referred to the fee scofflaw Bundy as a "law abiding citizen" unlike those who are "crossing our southern border." And then, of course, there was Benghazi, Benghazi, Benghazi.
Note - According to the FBI: "Domestic terrorism is the unlawful use, or threatened use, of force or violence by a group or individual based and operating entirely within the United States or Puerto Rico without foreign direction committed against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof in furtherance of political or social objectives."
Also - Check out this Facebook Page, The People Vs. Todd Starnes, which is "offers a counter opinion to what can only be described as hate speech and lies from the mind of an up and coming race baiting imbecile." It is a great compilation of his hateful articles, public comments, and tweets.
Hell, a mere decade ago, anyone who dared suggest that Dubya and Company were acting rashly in their plans to invade Iraq were denounced as “traitors.” Dubya himself declared “You’re either with us or against us.” Now, many of the talking heads who were supporting the Government’s effort to demonize “anti-government” speech as “treasonous” are right there actively endorsing treasonous speech.
Just like this guy (what are his qualifications, btw) can take any tack he wants.
