Crank up the faux Fox outrage machine! Todd Starnes (aka "Toddles") has OMG exposed a truly outrageous affront to the "fair & balanced" network. After having been contacted by yet another anonymous right wing crank whistle blower, Starnes revealed that OMG a Michigan health care center, funded by federal tax dollars, has banned Fox news from the TV's in its waiting rooms. To add insult to injury, the woman who issued the edict, who will now be subject to nice Christian harassment at the hands of outraged Fox fans, told Starnes that she wanted a "positive experience" for patients in the waiting rooms. As with many of Starnes' histrionic hit pieces, this egregious insult to Jesus' very own network made it over to the TV side of things where, on this morning's Fox & Friends, the gang on the curvy couch just couldn't believe that this type of commie censorship was happening!
Elisabeth Hasselbeck started the ball rolling. Sounding incredulous she said, "not being allowed to watch Fox News at the doctor's office? What?" The chryon reinforced the message: "Banning Fox News." She tossed to Heather Nauert who reported that a "federally funded" Michigan health care center is now OMG blocking Fox from all its televisions because a board member complained about coverage of the ACA. Nauert quipped that "patients in the waiting room are asking for a dose of fair & balanced coverage but the requests falling on deaf ears." (Note - Starnes cites only one person, an anonymous disgruntled employee, who seems to be complaining.) Nauert read the offending e-mail which addressed the station block. Nauert exclaimed "wow, what do you think of that?"
Tucker Carlson sputtered "that's like unbelievable." Nauert repeated "wow." Clayton Morris, usually the normal one, said "it's like China." Carlson agreed and added "they believe in diversity as long as everyone believes exactly the same thing." Morris agreed.
Uh, where in the Constitution does it say that Fox News has the right to be broadcast everywhere? I thought the Foxies were into the free market and all that jazz. I don't think that the receipt of federal funds mandates that doctor's offices have Fox News on their TV's. And "like China." Seriously? The whole fair & balanced thing shows that Fox is delusional. That they believe that a private employer banning Fox News is tantamount to totalitarian control of the media shows that we're dealing with batshit crazy. Fox News obviously has the freedom to broadcast. But if they think that the First Amendment means that they're entitled to an audience, they can keep on pretending!
Funny, Fox has no problem dissing the librul media. But when they get dissed, it's another story. LOL, Fox can give it; but they just can't take it! And put it this way, if the health center patients can't get a small dose of Fox propaganda, I think they'll survive.
As for Toodles and FauxNoise, the fact that they freak out because OMG somebody somewhere refuses to have FNC on the teevee amuses me. Such petulant little brats! I suppose if the clinic refused to have MSNBC airing, they’d throw an on-screen party, with balloons and cake.
It’s worth pointing out that whenever they cover OTHER stories that emanate from Toddles, they ALWAYS make a point to say that “only one person complained” about the prayers in school, or the 10 Commandments on government land, or the unfair treatment of those earnest Conservatives who just want to spread the word at their evil, librul university.
In fact, the fact that a single person’s complaint can trigger such an action always makes the Fox “News” Whining Heads apoplectic.

No, because that would hurt your business when people who believed it walked out, and told all their friends that you do what you were personally allowing to be played in the establishment?
Exactly, so let’s have a nice tall glass of shut the fuck up with that noise, Starnes.
Businesses are not willing to take a risk to lose customers over this worthless “news” channel. And we don’t blame them one bit.
NOTE TO LIZZIE
Putting FNC at medical offices is equivalent of feeding a heart patient with high cholesterol a double-cheese hamburger with French fries and soda.
“Patients and their families don’t need to make an illness worse by watching the toxic shit that comes from FoxGOPTV. I hope more establishments start doing the same thing.”
AMEN TO THAT — especially those establishments that specialize in BRAIN SURGERY, because always remember: Faux Spews Channel’s primary mission is to program and train Americans to be BLIND AND OBEDIENT “SHEEPLE” — not to THINK FOR THEMSELVES and ask questions.
;^)
And come to think of it, I don’t recall ever seeing the FNC. Usually, it’s CNN or some inane confrontational reality show (“Darrel, you ARE the father…”).
I suppose the patients could insist on changing the channel, but what are our politics anyway, the vast majority being cranky, rebellious ’Nam vets.
(We’ll probably be most gone in a decade or so, quickly being replaced by those thousands of wounded youngsters — just part of the legacy of the 8-year Bush debacle!)
I really believe that most people are not aware what channel is playing in the ‘background’. Fox has become the subliminal message of the day.
Fuck these people.
