Back in August, a report, written by the head of an SPLC designated homophobic hate group Peter Labarbera, surfaced. This report, titled "Unfair, Unbalanced and Afraid:Fox News’ Growing Pro-Homosexual Bias and the National Lesbian & GayJournalists Association," was a 92 page screed about how Fox News, to put it succinctly, was going gay. Much of the report focused on Megyn Kelly and how she supposedly was showing unfair bias towards the nefarious gay agenda. So inquiring minds want to know if it's by accident or design that, since that report reared its ugly head, Fox News has gone even more homophobic in response to this report which is a reflection of the homophobia of many in the Fox News conservative Christian demographic base. Consider this, since the publication of the report, Fox's resident homophobe and all-American patriot, Todd Starnes seems to have been given lots more exposure. (Ewwww)
The report was published in early August. On August 16th, Megyn Kelly's occasional replacement, Shannon Bream, did a "fight for faith" segment purported to show that Jesus loving, homo hating members of the military are being persecuted for their views by said military. The report focused on the alleged persecution of an Air Force sergeant who claimed that he was being disciplined for his anti-gay marriage views. Interestingly, Todd Starnes broke the story, on the Fox Radio website, two days prior to the America Live segment during which Bream asked if there is a "reverse don't ask, don't tell" military policy for Christians.
During August, Bream reinforced anti-gay lies, which she started in July, about how the proposed San Antonio non-discrimination ordinance was a violation of religious freedom. During one of her pieces, she validated the concerns of Peter Spriggs, a spokesperson for the SPLC designated homophobic hate group, the Family Research Council. On August 25th, Bream discussed a court decision which ruled that a photographer violated the Arizona anti-discrimination law when she refused to photograph a gay commitment ceremony. Bream, in validating the concerns of her guest, a lawyer from the virulently homophobic and very Christian "Alliance Defending Freedom," seemed to suggest that discrimination against gays is just fine.
In August, Fox's resident homophobic "mouth breather" Todd Starnes was given the privilege of providing regular articles for the Fox News website's opinion page. His first article was a whine about a Christian member of the Utah National Guard who was allegedly punished for posting Starnes' homophobic articles on his Facebook page. Starnes, for who knows how many times, used this situation to whine about military persecution of Christians by Obama appointees who are "turning the military into a social engineering petri dish." His most recent article rehashed the sad story of the aforementioned Air Force sergeant who is now the darling of the Christian right and who, according to Starnes, is being disciplined for telling Starnes a crock of crap.
Last week, he wrote about Oregon bakers who are being "forced" to close down after enduring harassment from "militant" gays who are upset that the bakers refused to bake a cake for a lesbian wedding. Starnes whined about how the state's anti-discrimination laws, which the bakers might have violated, are forcing Christians to follow man's law instead of God's. And surprise, surprise, two days later, the aggrieved bakers appeared on Fox & Friends where they received warm validation for their tale of persecution by those nasty gays.
Funny, Roger Ailes' office has special, protective glass which Ailes had installed in order to protect him from rampaging gays. Looks like he's more afraid of those who hate gays and what damage they could do to his ratings cuz Fox News is so NOT going gay!
