Gretchen Carlson Hosts Hate Group Leader, Tony Perkins, To Bash Melissa Harris Perry & Push Anti-Marriage Equality Agitprop

Posted by Priscilla -26.60pc on April 14, 2013 · Flag

As NewsHounds Ellen reported, Fox News went into full frenzy freak-out mode over Melissa Harris Perry's benign comment about how we all bear responsibility for ensuring that children in our communities have proper care and educational opportunities. Fox "News," took her statement out of context and spun it into a vision of a dystopian future in which Commie jackbooted thugs will be taking America's children and indoctrinating them into the deviant world of the liberal and gay agenda. Not surprisingly, Fox & Friends, a bulwark against the forces of satanic Marxism, was on it. And to further validate Fox's jihad against Perry, Gretchen Carlson spoke with new Fox fave, possible Louisiana senate candidate, and mullah leader of the American Taliban religious right, Tony Perkins who is on a mission from God to ensure that American kids are raised by Jesus loving, homo hating, heterosexual parents and not that Commie "collective."

Gretchen Carlson, in keeping with the Fox meme, accused MSNBC of running an ad that pushes (AGITPROP ALERT) "a collectivist notion of parenting saying your kids are not your own." So not true; but when has the lack of truth been a problem for Gretchen Carlson. Perkins advanced the meme with his comment that this idea of (AGITPROP ALERT) "collectivism, this idea that everyone and no one is responsible." He asserted the "left" is promulgating this idea which "is the intellectual love child of the Great Society and the sexual revolution." (Oh, that dirty, dirty sex!)

Gretch did admit that kids benefit from those who teach and coach them but "that's different from a theory that those people are completely responsible for completely raising your children."

Allow me a Lewis Black moment - HEY GRETCH, THAT'S NOT WHAT MELISSA HARRIS PERRY SAID AND THAT'S NOT WHAT SHE MEANT.

Perkins, whose organization, The Family Research Council, promotes lies and hatred towards the LGBT community, cited the "Judeo-Christian view" that scripture teaches us to care for our neighbor (cept if he or she is gay) but that parents are responsible because "kids are still born to moms and dads, to women and men, it still takes a man and a woman to make a child. Children are not born to a neighborhood watch, they're still born to a man and a woman." Gretch grinned and said "that's a great point."

Perkins continued to preach that "God gives them to a man and a woman and we have decades worth of social science that says that children do best with a mom and a dad who love them (*lie), who are married and who care for them."  As he spoke the chyron read - (AGITPROP ALERT) "Collectivist Rant, MSNBC: Kids Don't Belong To Their Parents." (Not true) He continued with his not so subtle screed against same sex marriage:"We are moving away from that notion which the left would love to do. It would be devastating for society. More reinforcement of the meme - (AGITPROP ALERT) - "Collective Ad Controversy, MSNBC: Entire Community Should Raise Kids." (Not True)

Perkins whined about "liberal ideology" that "driving this" with more anti-marriage equality rhetoric about kids being "gifts of the lord" who "come to a mom and a dad." He continued "we have a responsibility to raise that child" and "we should help out our neighbor."

Funny, Perkins is talking about helping his neighbor on a network that vilifies the social safety net and those who use it as lazy, welfare moochers. And it's Perkins' GOP who oppose preservation of that safety net while promoting tax cuts for the rich. But did ya catch all the "man and woman" stuff?! Obviously, in Perkins' world, single parents and gay parents don't count. As the "Church Lady" would say, isn't it special that Fox & Friends provides a platform for the head of a homophobic hate group to push his homophobia in the service of Fox's hateful hit piece. Ah, Judeo-Christianity at it's finest. Praise Jesus?

*This is why The Family Research Council is a hate group. Perkins is lying. According to Dr. Ellen Perrin, professor of pediatrics at Tufts, there have been years of study and "there has been no hint of a problem." Stanford sociologist Michael Rosenfeld says that "there is a fundamental scholarly consensus that children raised by same-sex couples do just fine." The esteemed American Academy of Pediatrics says same sex marriage is good for kids. But you won't hear that on Fox News which puts right wing propaganda before truth.

Fox Host, Tony Perkins Rip Harris-Perry's MSNBC Promo: 'Children Aren't Born To The Neighborhood Watch'

MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry has ignited controversy with her latest promo for the the network, in which she speaks about how society should move beyond the notion that children belong to their parents and understand that they belong to the larger community. Fox & Friends' Gretchen Carlson and Family Research Council's Tony Perkins challenged the "collectivism" on Wednesday.

Not this irrelevant clown again. Perkins will do anything to seek attention. He wants to be important in the conservative movement. Well…we have bad news for him. The Elite Washington GOP Power Machine don’t like him, and don’t want him around.

Wretchen Gretchen, Fox “News” aging tart, is in no position to talk about marriage, given her past behavior at another news station with a man who was married to another woman.

These two frauds are a joke.

NOTE TO PERKINS

You can never escape your past, you nut.

I just wish these religious zealots would see that they are exactly what they purport to be against. Only the names are changed.

These are the folks who dream of returning to the 1950s, that time when children WERE constantly under the supervision of almost every adult in their community, and people did not shrink from identifying as a community member.

Yet a similar idea becomes a shocking outrage from a 21st century vantage point. If they really can’t stomach a sense of community toward their fellow citizens nor children, then what could they truly want? They seem to want the benefits of an earlier, simpler time, without the diminished personal freedom that came with it. I wish these folks could look in a mirror and see a bit of reality shining back at them.

This just a classic example of how Perkins twists peoples words to add credibility to his bigotry. First of all Ms. Harris Perry did not say the children belong to society. She was trying to say, we has other human beings, (teachers, preachers, neighbors) have a responsiblity to children to help them grow and become successful members of our community. For example, I for one do not have children but i just wrote a huge tax to the government which helps educate your children. I also volunteered for years with Big Brothers to help guide unwanted children to a better place in society. We need to find a way to bring this rhetoric to a good and comfortable place. Mr. Perkins might not like gay and lesbian marriage but he needs to take responsibility of supporting the children of these parents. If not, he is just being a two faced bigot, and most likely just using this platform to line his pockets.
