Megyn Kelly, Michelle Malkin Outraged That Former Radical Is Columbia Prof

Posted by Priscilla -25.80pc on April 03, 2013 · Flag

Despite the claim that the actual "news" on Fox is impartial, the reality is that Fox News is the place where manufactured right wing "outrage" is reinforced. The newest thing to have white, right wing panties in a wad is the revelation, broken by the Murdoch tabloid, the NY Post, that former Weather Underground radical Kathy Boudin is teaching at ColumbiaUniversity. And like its media sibling, Fox News, which never sees a right wing outage that it doesn't exploit, the title of the Post's article is - ready for it - "Outrage 101: Radical Jailed in Slay Now Columbia Prof." So it was no surprise that alleged Fox news host, Megyn Kelly would, in taking this national, provide validation for yet another manufactured right wing "outrage" which included the perfunctory Fox slam on Hollywood and "elite" colleges. And who better to validate Kelly than that paragon of journalistic objectivity, Michelle Malkin. But this is part of Fox's "fair & balanced" programming so it's all good...

Yesterday, on America Live, Kelly showed clips of Robert Redford's (interviewed this morning on MSNBC's "Morning Joe") new movie based on people and incidents involving a 60's radical group, the Weather Underground. She mentioned that the real life armored car robbery involved the deaths of two police and a Brinks guard. Her voice got louder as she reported that the get-away car was driven by Kathy Boudin who spent 22 years in jail and now she (Kelly's voice went up a register) "has been granted a prestigious teaching position at Columbia University...this after she was honored by NY University." Kelly didn't mention that Boudin, who has a doctorate in sociology, is working on AIDS and criminal justice issues. Kelly introduced her guest, America's favorite anchor baby, Michelle Malkin. No bias here, no sirreee...

Kelly squinted her pretty eyes as she stated "this is an underground person who spent, what what almost 24, 22 years in prison, pleaded guilty, there's no doubt about her guilt that she murdered three people, and now she's teaching the next generation of our best and brightest what, exactly?" Malkin, who wrote a book defending the brutal and unjust internment of Japanese Americans during WWII and who thinks hate crimes are just hoaxes done to make white people look bad, was off and running with her standard right wing talking points. She snarked that this is "confirmation that colleges and universities are cesspools of tenured radicalism and left wing domestic violence." She then attacked Boudin's son who received a Rhodes scholarship and, according to Malkin, is unrepentant about the Weather Underground which, of course, he wasn't involved with.

Kelly mentioned Bernadine Dohrn (the wife of Fox News perpetual target Bill Ayers) who is Northwestern and "this prize" is at Columbia and "her son is a Rhodes scholar at Yale" who believes in the ideals of his parents." Kelly dramatically said that she wouldn't want her children attending Columbia because of Ms. Boudin who (she dragged the word out) "murdered" police and a security guard who doesn't "have anything" to say about what her kids "need to hear."  Malkin said "it's a warning" to all parents and claimed, without having seen Redford's movie cus it's not out yet, that his movie "romanticizes" the Weather Underground. She noted that Ayers is now a visiting scholar at Minnesota State University. She accused taxpayer funded universities of being "safe haven for left wing domestic terrorists and their apologists" whose histories have been "whitewashed by academia and Hollywood."

Kelly compared Boudin to Casey Anthony and OJ Simpson. She screeched "this woman, this woman can admit to killing three law enforcement officers...and Columbia University gives her a job, a prestigious job..." After reading commentary from a Columbia dean, who praised Boudin's work involving (Kelly's voice went up another notch) convicts. Kelly snarked, "well, she's got some expertise."

Megyn Kelly not only takes sides but uses right wing apologist Michelle Malkin to validate her points. At no time was it mentioned that Boudin has expressed remorse for her crime and has done commendable public service work in the community. But who cares about facts when the intent is to engage in the popular right wing sport of bashing "elite" librul education. Funny, I thought that Kelly's show is part of the official non-partisan "news" programming. Looks like it's just part of the Fox opinion format. Talk about a "cesspool!"

“Your continues ad hominem attacks, in particular oyur last paragraph, merely serve to undermine your legitimacy in a debate, and reveal, at a fundamental level, a lack of conviction in your own position.”

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ . . .

Courtesy of Aria Prescott on the other thread (thanks Aria)

BTW, for MM’s sake: “Joe” is a Koldys troll who likes to make incessantly hateful comments about the regulars, wrapped around seemingly innocent attempts to put us on the spot about everything. I know he’s a Koldys troll because the idiot bragged about what he’s doing on there for his first seven names.

“Matt” is his newest IP masked handle, and his 22nd name, unless I missed something. I wish he’d get a life, but that’s just me.

Figures. Now, go back to J60cents’ site and brag to your fellow idiots. I truly am done.

“There is no moral relativism between a basektball coach not understanding proper coaching graces and using offensive language, and an ex-terrorist triple murderer being selected over what I am sure are many other good professors, to teach our next generation of leaders.”

There is, however, a DIFFERENCE between a coach performing the abuse as recently as FOUR MONTHS AGO {Rutgers only fired him after ESPN aired a video of his abuse}, and a professor whose heinous acts were performed FORTY F’ING YEARS AGO who has ALREADY SERVED A TWENTY-YEAR SENTENCE.

I swear — this is the same as how you rightwingnuts who will bring up Robert Byrd’s KKK association from 60+ years ago, Ted Kennedy’s traffic accident from 40+ years ago, or Bill Clinton’s hummer from 20 years ago at the drop of a hat . . . but, let someone bring up GW Bush, and the first words out of your mouth are, “why are you living in the past”?

“Sports coaches are notoriously aggressive, and most players want that.”

Most players “want” physical abuse?

I suppose the recruits Jerry Sandusky abused for years at Penn State “wanted” sexual abuse, too?

“Indoctirnation is telling people what to think. The latter occurs often, there are countless stories about it, professors giving poor grades due to opinion, not actual work… and it is almost always left-wing professors doing the indoctrinating. These stories are not hard to find, you just won’t find them in the left-wing media complex.”

Well — I’m certain you can link us to these “countless stories” of “indoctrination” that always occur at the hands of “left-wing professors” . . .

“so the question remains, are you OK with the exteme leftist bias of the BBC, MSNBC, annd NBC?”

And the question remains: are you too dense to understand that “We watch Fox so you don’t have to”

does NOT mean, “we watch Fox/BBC/MSNBC/NBC/CNN/ESPN/USA/WGN/The Food Network/etc. so you don’t have to”?

If you’re so upset about the supposed “extreme leftist bias” on other networks, feel free to start a blog on it.
Just don’t expect this one to do it or get upset because you think they should.

And with that . . . I’m out. Ellen, I apologize for feeding the troll, but I just had to get that off my chest. On the other thread, I described him as a “seagull” poster {drops sh*t, flies away}, but that’s wrong; he’s simply another idiot who’ll keep asking the same idiotic questions over and over . . .

@ Matt L./Joe Blowme/Joan Maybrier-Mullins/Mary Bleat/Bratt:

LOL, so a convited triple-murderer gets a job indoctrinating (I won’t call it teaching) our next generation of students, and your issue is with Fox not mentioning that “she was sorry” and did “community service”? Ludicrous. Fox gave an opinion, an opinion shared by most reasonable Americans BTW. You are so consumed with FOX News that your sense of perspective and priorities are in shambles. Shame on you for embracing this willful ignoring of the real issue.

Since you repeated this same post on the other thread

http://www.newshounds.us/20130403_peter_johnson_jr_freaks_out_over_columbia_university_s_sick_hiring_of_kathy_boudin#reactions

I’ll repeat the same question:

And what “real issue” is that, Matt L./Joe Blowme?

That Fox will tolerate the hiring of a college coach who abuses his players, but can’t stomach the hiring of a senior citizen who served time for her crimes of thirty years ago?

Gotta love you wingers’ use of the word “indoctrination” as a substitute for education; it’s been your preferred term ever since that rightwingnut freakout over President Obama’s address to school students . . . but strangely didn’t apply when both Bushes and St. Ronnie Raygun also addressed students. Wonder why.

“When are you also going after NBC (proven editors of news to support a leftist agenda), CBS (see the Killian papers) and BBC (they admitted their leftist bias).”

I also wonder why its so difficult to understand the simple phrase, “We watch Fox so you don’t have to” . . .

@ Joan Maybrier-Mullins/Mary Bleat/Bratt:

Just out of curiosity, how much physical danger do you think young, twentysomething college students are in from a 69-year-old woman?

/waits while Joan frantically searches rightwing blogs for an answer/

Pricilla, “She’s really nasty” is the understatement of the decade. What little time I have been able to stand reading her blog (my laptop was beginning to melt) I have I never read a single good word about anything. The malevolence that spews from her is downright frightening.

@ Visitor 55: Exactly.

I wonder if Meggy and Ms. Maglalang complained as loudly about the presence of convicted felons Oliver North, Tom DeLay, and G. Gordon Liddy on Fox News as contributors, as they did about Boudin . . .

@ Priscilla & Joseph West: I’ve always had the feeling that, had Malkin been alive at the time of the Japanese Internment, she’d of been incarcerated along with the ones she believes were legally held.

Don’t ask me why — it’s just a feeling . . .

Yes, Joseph. Sad to say that Malkin wrote “In Defense of Internment.” Her attitude towards hate crimes is shown in her recent article, after the hate stuff that was going on at her alma mater, Oberlin, titled “The Coddling of College Hate Crime Hoaxers.”

http://michellemalkin.com/2013/03/06/the-coddling-of-college-hate-crime-hoaxers/

She and Megyn talked about the Oberlin hoaxes but I never got around to writing it up.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ajg4KKpHle8

She also did a column “Hate Crime Hoaxer of the Week”

She’s really nasty.

“Malkin, who wrote a book defending the brutal and unjust internment of Japanese Americans during WWII and who thinks hate crimes are just hoaxes done to make white people look bad….”

Is this true? The Filipina anchor baby really wrote this about the internment of AMERICAN citizens and believes this about hate crimes?

Wow.

I can’t even begin to express what I’d love to see happen to the Filipina anchor baby without getting the actual comment banned here. (I will say it’s too bad both of her parents survived the Japanese occupation of the Philippines. I’m guessing, based on how old Misshell is, that both of her parents had to have been children, if not young teens, during the occupation.)

This won’t be a problem….all she needs to do is say that in 1990 she dedicated her life entirely to Jay-sus. In fact, Jay-sus wrote a letter of recommendation for her!
It would also help her if she gave a presser holding an AR-15 in which she calls for Obama’s birth certificate.

According to right wingers, no one ever deserves a second chance. No matter that she served her 22 years in prison and is apparently now a productive member of society. This is the mentality of our legal system as filtered through 40 years of right wing justice: Criminals should serve 4 times the sentence, then crawl in a hole and disappear. This excessively punitive culture is the reason why we are seeing domestic terrorism via white supremacists recently released from prison. These are the not-so-reformed products of our legal system.
