If it weren’t for the fact that Half-Governor Sarah Palin is holding onto her Fox “News” gig by her fingertips, there would be no reason for News Hounds to even cover Her Irrelevancy anymore. However, I suspect that long after she’s dumped by the network following November’s election, if not before, Sarah Palin will still be a punch line on comedy shows. Last night Jon Stewart tried to make sense of Palin co-hosting The Today Show.

Like others, I love how they blast the “lamestream media”, yet when they are offered a spot on those shows, they rush to get on them, a la Snookie of the North, Mann Coulter and whatever name you can come up with Laura Ingraham. Hypocrisy rules, but you will never hear them admit it.

I’m not saying Palin won’t improve, if given time- I should have added “at first” to that. They don’t realize that what worked on the campaign trail doesn’t always work on TV. But enough of them do meet in the middle.

My $0.02 on Palin appearing on NBC is that the boycott everything crowd is overreacting. Aside from how poorly she did, I don’t really see anything wrong with it.
But yes, Palin was bad- most politicos who make the jump to broadcasting are, it’s an entirely different animal. Palin didn’t do well, even for that. But that’s really all we can hold on her.
Save any outrage about politics or rhetoric for people who are consistently far enough out of line that they need need removed, or at least demoted to a panelist- like Limbaugh and Bolling.

Antoinette, that’s typical of the entire right-wing noise machine. Ann Coulter has been one of the biggest hypocrites. Whenever it has a new book to promote, it never hesitates to get itself booked on the mainstream talkshows (like “Today” and “Good Morning America”—no, I don’t consider either program to be a “news” show; 5 minutes of news followed by 25 minutes of “entertainment” is a talkshow). The rest of the time, it’s whining about how the “mainstream media” is so hateful and does nothing but promote evil liberal ideas—which, naturally, begs the question: If it hates the mainstream media, why does it want to get booked on those shows?
(The use of “it” was deliberate. Until I see Ann Coulter’s longform birth certificate, I’m not convinced that Ann is female. I don’t care how many men have had sex with Ann—and are actually willing to admit to it—I’m not convinced that Ann isn’t a real-life Hedwig, of the “Angry Inch” fame. For those who’ve seen that movie, John Cameron Mitchell looks more like a real woman in the film than Ann Coutler does in real life. I’ll describe each contestant on every season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” with female pronouns with no problem but Ann Coulter is less female than even the newbiest of drag queens.)

I’m not 100% certain, but I believe her contract with Fox ends in September. Since her relationship with Roger Ailes doesn’t exactly sound like paradise, perhaps she’s getting ready to move to NBC soon. She would have to have the permission from Fox to do the Today Show.

Let’s see… the Fox “News” fools demonize NBC, yet Princess Sarah of Alaska appears on NBC’s The Today Show. Hypocrites.
