In a discussion on Hannity tonight, guest David Limbaugh channeled Glenn Beck by declaring, "Obama is cocky, he's the most ungracious person I've ever seen... Obama clearly wants to exact a grudge against America. He has no intention of solving this debt crisis because you can't do it with revenues. He wants to even the score against the presumed wealthy or the so-called wealthy."
But I don't know which is worse - Limbaugh's racially-tinged smear or the fact that neither Sean Hannity nor his supposedly liberal guest Lanny Davis challenged it.
Below is Media Matters' clip of the relevant part. You can view the entire video - and Davis' lack of challenge - here.
Yes, Davis challenged a good bit of what was said. But I don’t think that excuses him from objecting to this bit of especially awful hate mongering.
“It’s hilariously ironic for Limbaugh to accuse anyone else of being ungracious considering his own record of smears and hate mongering – including that incredibly ungracious remark right there.”
Which only proves once again that David Limbaugh and his ELEPHANT-SIZED brother sure know how to dish it out, BUT THEY JUST CAN’T TAKE IT!
“Obama got his tax rate increases”
“HIS TAX INCREASES” Really? WTF?
As others, like Paul Krugman, have mentioned first of all this “deal” falls short of what could have been achieved.
OK. It is done. Let’s put that aside.
What many others also saw coming miles away was the continuing bitchin’ n a’moanin’ n a’blamin of the wingnuts toward President Obama, for a situation THEM WINGNUTS CREATED.
Sure. Let’s go sprayin’ freedumbs and chimpocracy across the Middle East. Let’s deregulate those fuggin genius “job creators” in banking and Wally St.
But when the sht hits the debt ceiling and the fiscal cliff,
LET’S PRIVATIZE THE PROFITS!
SOCIALIZE THE LOSSES!
BLAME THE ANGRY BLACK GUY!
Things got worse with the following segment with good old Jay Sekulow and, for reasons I’ll never understand, Leo Terrell. In that segment, the mutual shouting got to the level where it was pointless to listen much more. Terrell ended the segment with his hands over his ears…
